MM, regular Friday night question... how's your bum now? I was just thinking you wouldn't have to take Jas to gymnastics tomorrow!
(or do you need to fetch her from your mum's then take her?
)

Its still sore when you sit directly on the boney bit, but other than that not too bad. I do have to pick her up, as I collect my friend and her wee girl to go too.The two best things I have done with my life

Speaking of chocolate.. I'm not sure Rhys is mine
I gave him a quarter of a chocolate button earlier and he scowled at me! Oh no, hang on, he is definitely mine - it was probably a scowl at being short changed and not getting a whole one! :rotfl:

So far Dylan seems to like chocolate icing more than actual chocolate, or maybe he is the same as Rhys, as he gets cross too, but I think thats cuz he only gets to lick a little tiny bit and Jasmine sits beside him eating a full bag:rotfl:

I've been trying to catch up on and off tonight but it's been a crappy one so never actually got around to posting. I think i expected miracles from this gripe water stuff, and it doesn't do miracles!
Thanks for the tips on how to give it - the filling the cap was a good one, easier than spoon. I don't have bottles though so couldn't try the teat thing.
Anyway i had a genius moment and decided to check my medicine box for a syringe, and there was one wrapped so i used that.
She still spat it out the side of her mouth no matter what lol. Anyway i decided to go for the cruel method that i just invented. It involved using 2 fingers to keep her gums open so she couldn't push it all back out with her tongue, so after some gargling and choking she swallowed it lol.
When i tried this a 2nd time later on, she puked a load of milk up though. I feel a bit cruel cos she was spluttering and choking but justified it to myself by saying it's better than being in pain with the wind for hours on end?! Anyway i don't think it's done any good really? First time she did do a burp but it wasn't a huge one, or instant relief like i expected, cos she was still fussing?
In all i tried to give her it 5 times, and only twice was i sure she got near a full 5ml, the first few times would just be dregs. It's driving me (and her!) mental, i don't know if i should just go straight for the Infacol - it takes a few days to start working so maybe it's best to start sooner rather than later?
On names, I have one of those names that makes people go "EH??" :rotfl: Sky think my name is Tia. Some people call me Peter and ask why i have a boys name. Some people think i'm a French man (Pierre). One of the mw's kept calling me Kia? (isn't that a car?). And everyone i meet asks me what it's short for (nothing), what it means, and where it's from.
Oh and my name is never on those pens/mugs and stuff either
I do love it though and did want a name like it for Amber, cos i loved being the only one in the whole school with my name. Not that i think there'll be a lot of Amber's but it's not as rare.
edit - oops, sorry for the long gripe rant :rotfl:0 -
beenie, I love your name too !!
Gripe water wasnt any good for us either, I think sami was the same with Ed. Dylan took it and was instantly sick !! I tried it twice and it happened both times, so we went back to infacol. But then that wasnt working either which is why we started on reflux meds as up until then I thought he was being sick because of the wind.
((hugs)) though hun, I know its not nice xxThe two best things I have done with my life

Sooo.... what does it mean and where is it from?(I know what it is and really like it
).
ETA: 'Fraid I can't help on the gripe water - Rhys can't have it (says something on the box about not for babies with impaired kidney function but I'm not entirely sure why)0
