Item not received

I know there are a lot of these threads on here so apologies!

I ordered and paid for an item on the 1st December, I paid for standard first class delivery. I'm yet to receive it, the seller has 16000+ feedback, all positive.

I asked several times about the whereabouts, if it had been posted etc and he kept telling me to check with the post office - which I did twice.

I raised a paypal dispute last week, but he isn't replying. I left negative feedback last night as I haven't got an item or a refund 2 days before Christmas. He also left a positive feedback with a negative comment which I got removed, and commented on my feedback to him calling me a liar and a cheat.

I'm slightly concerned about getting a refund now - he has messaged me saying I shouldn't expect an item or a refund now as he has fulfilled his obligation by sending it to me, and he has proof of posting. eBay have reassured me that I will definitely get a refund, but how long will it take if he doesn't respond?

Thanks :)

Once you have started a full chargeback the seller usually has 10 days to prove delivery, if he can't do that then paypal refund you in full.

  • Sorry for the late reply!

Seller has finally refunded me! But has opened a npb on me, I can't see an option to say I've paid other than to message the seller or appeal??

How did you originally pay for the item? Was it by paypal through ebay?

You should be able to enter the paypal transaction number into the dispute, if you can't then fire off emails to both ebay and paypal complaining about the sellers misue of ths system. Then as soon as they reopen after the bank holiday use live help to tell ebay what seller is trying. Try the appeal button to start with though.

This kind of seller needs stomping on pretty quickly.

I have used live help, they have told me I have to wait until it closes to appeal, but he can see I have been refunded. I also sent an email.

This is exactly what live help said.

"Mostly fb would not be removed, however, that is something by other team, if you want you can contact the feedback team. You can receive a strike yes. If that happens, you inform us, about removal of strike. Plus, you can report the seller for not selling the item when you paid for the item and were willing to complete sale. That will be a bad effect on their account."

The only options I have are pay or contact seller - I did pay through paypal.

I despair at live help sometimes.

The old sysytem allowed a message from the buyer where the paypal transaction number could be added, is there anyone out there reading this that has done a dispute recently that can help?
