A good 2:1, or so I'm told. I'll see the actual marks once they are posted next week. I'm cautiously celebrating. I say cautiously, since I really need somewhere between 66-69 to have a realistic chance of funding. Fingers crossed.

Hi does anyone know the proportion of people getting 1:1 , 2:1 and 2:2, when I was at uni a few years ago there would only be 1 or two people in the year (computing) that got a 1:1 a handfull of people of people getting a 2:1 and loads that got a 2:2. IS this still the case or have the number of people getting 1:1, and 2:1 gone up...... it would be intresting to find out......

It seems to depend on the Uni, in my year 2 people got a first, the degree was Business. However a friend of mine went to an ex-polytechnic, also did Business and over 20% of students got a first with almost all the rest getting 2:1.....

Interesting point, to get in to this Uni you needed 2 D's and a C, my friend averaged 55% over the two years and got bumped up to a 2:1....

Oh and in year 2 majority of their module's were coursework only and only the top half of the modules they say counted towards their degree classification. Alternatively, I did 6 modules in the 2nd year (coursework and exam for each) which counted for 40% and 6 modules in the 3rd year (coursework and an exam for each) all of which counted towards the degree classification. I wish my Uni only counted the top 50% of my marks, I'd have had a first then :)

But as i'm forever being told, degree's from all Uni's are the same? This will probably upset a lot of people, but what a load of rubbish!!
