Degree Results: Who else is waiting?

Mine will be available (possibly) tomorrow or next week. So, I thought I'd start a thread to congratulate others, as I cannot be the only one waiting.

My nervousness is due to being on a class boundary, and the result will affect the likelihood of MA funding (I've applied to the AHRC, and my tutor has put me forward as the departmental candidate for a University award). It is too late to stress about it now, I think it's more the waiting around that is making me nervous than the actual results.

Best of luck to anybody else waiting :)

I have to wait till week beginning July 10th for my results however this year as a final student I should get my results at the beginning of the week instead of waiting all week for postie with the brown envelope as in previous years.

I wish it would hurry up I'm alright getting on with things then it pops into my head that I'm waiting for it and I get a knot in my tummy!!! Like the previous poster has stated its too late to worry now but I can't help it.

    Good Luck all

Ooh all the best, everyone. I remember how nervewracking the wait was.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Don't think that's due to the strike... when I was in Uni 1st and 2 years didn't get their grades until July - as there needs to be meetings upon meetings to make sure that everybody Dept, Faculty and external examiners agree with the marks awarded.

So priority is always given to final year students (as they need to prepare for graduation) and then 2nd and 1st year students.

    All the best ppl!

July 10th seems late. Our department announce the classification before sending out the breakdown of marks through the post. I'm not entirely happy with names appearing on the noticeboard (for module results, we have always been identified by our exam number); but I'll be calling or e-mailing as I won't be in the country. You would think nowadays, there would be some sort of database we can access to see the degree class and results from each module.

I need to calm down - it's not going to be bad. I just wish I could get it out the way, so then I can turn my attention to other things (it doesn't stop for me, with preparation for the MA .. which I suppose I should be doing over the summer).

There are!!! Depends what uni you're at.

Aberystwyth Uni results are always supplied first on a database that only yourself can log into - gives you a breakdown of all module reults for the past 3-4 yrs - and your classification.
  • my results r released next friday (30th June) it is my final year and will affect my masters as well but as i am staying at the same place my tutor who will also be taking me next year called me in and he started me on my work which makes me feel more confident about my result. im still really nervous this is actually the third date we have been given for results and ours will be emailed to us as an overall grade we then have 2 wait for the postie 2 get breakdown. Good luck 2 everyone waiting 4 results.
