    Hello all :j
Well, we're off to see consultant tomorrow -was hoping to do a bit of shopping before appt. but weather forecast looks c**p so that might be a no go

Checked birthday list this morning and foster daughters OH;'s birthday is first week in Feb...........hope my other Stig thing comes in time...........the soap was really quick. Least I've got a card done for him and went through my list -no-one else due and I've got foster daughters and my sons done (Mar and Apr).......so, started on Easter type ones today.
Made right mess of box I keep my papers in............ didn't help when I dropped it and everything fell out !! Couldn't be bothered to tidy it up as I'd done what I wanted..............I'll do that another day.......

Keep your fingers and everything else crossed for us tomorrow:o
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi everyone.

Bought another cheap note book to cover for ExMil's birthday (49p I think from Wilks). Wanted to cover it in some nice paper to go with her orangey t-shirt I bought her, went in The Works and they had a pack of nice mulberry papers with the embroidered stitching, top colour was orange and it was reduced to 49p so bought it and it had about 8 of these pages in it A4 size. Have just sat and covered the book, looks very posh. Will look out for a nice pen to go with it.

Bought another one of those birthday folder things with the cards in it and a pocket for each month. Want to give the folder to my Dad as he is finding it hard to remember the birthdays. Have took out the cards to use myself as they are not what he would send. The folder was reduced to £2.99 and I have 24 nice looking cards from it which will suit ladies in the family.

    rufus - well done :T
If you can't find a nice pen you could always try covering a bog standard bic biro with some pretty paper...........I've never done it but the lad we look after suggested it when I was doing MILs box of cards.
Need to get a new bic thats not been used first-though might try it out on an old one first:rolleyes:

    Hi all

Today bought the first sale item - a large mug for 50 pence in Ethel Austins - for a hamper in a cup type present. Looking back over the posts I missed I keep reading about a mini challenge but can't find it.

Can someone direct me to the info please.

Thanks, I know why I couldn't find it because I was looking through mum2one's posts.

Well it looks as though I don't need to actually do anything as coincidentally the other week I made something for myself all in hearts. Over the years I made a lot of Christmas ornies in a heart shape - cross stitch, fused beads, felt, embroidery etc and after I took the tree down, I picked them out then hung them all round a pair of silk leaved ivy bushes which are trained up in a pyramid shape and it looks quite nice. I don't have a camera so can't show you.
