Don't be scared about ebay Savvy. It's quite simple if you are already registered. That's the worst bit.

I'm registered, back when I started buying on ebay there was none of this calling up validation malarky, would have put me right off. Now I am really scared to sell because of everyone having problems with paypal releasing the money. I have some bits to sell but it really puts me off and someone mentioned that you have to accept paypal now

Sounds like you're doing really well with Avon, a lady came to deliver Avon catalogues a few years back and we have heard nothing since, not sure we are the right area for that sort of thing which is a shame. Maybe I should try being a Body Shop rep. I could do that!

Thank you everyone with helping me get motivated, keep us updated on your progress, I'm officially addicted to this forum now :T

anyone got any good ideas for valentines and easter...cheap/made item /easy???
  • I think I will try my hand at baking some cookies or cakes and icing them and making marbled choc shards and putting them in a fancy box with celaphane, if I can find somewhere that sells celaphane cheap. Any ideas?

    Xmas Saver!
I get all my cello wrap and ribbon etc from this seller on ebay, I got recommended to hom by someone on last years thread.

    http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/nickschicks

Withhis postage, he sets a maximium price, I did a bulk order b4 xmas and the postage seperatelty would of been about £16.00, think I paid £5.95 (around that)

his stuff is good quality, even if its a roll end (they can be cheaper) just means they might have a crinkle bit no rips or anything like that.

I also buy the curling ribbon, use them on all the prezzies, a lot cheaper than buting the pack of 4 rolls for 99p, the roles go on for ever.

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

You've got some bargains there, poppd into ours the other day, but had father with me moaning about me putting stuff in the trolley, got new store, the trouble is its in the middle level of a shopping centre, great for odds and sods, but the bulkier thinggs (or my trolley shops.....) a pain.

We usually use one at the retail park about 12 miles away, great as I can leave him in the car, shop in peace, then he can't moan till its brought.

Just off to photgraph sme stuff ready for ebay 2mor, don't usually like free listing days, as I think there better for buyers, as a lot of people empty cupboards etc and put lots on, But as they say its worth a try, dd has had so many growth spurts that shes gone through 12 swimsuits and bikinis in the last 12 mths, (always save them usually go on Feb, people buy then b4 they come into store) come summer time, they just don't sell xx

    Hello all :j
Wet day here and bloomin' cold -was going into town but didn't see the point in getting wet and freezing
so -stayed in and covered the box I'd got with the paper I ordered. Looks lovely -......:rolleyes:nice enough to keep ? Nope.......supposed to be having a clear out not adding to what I've already got.

scattymam -Easter ideas -been looking for some myself that I can post and can only come up with
flannel bunny with mini eggs inside insidead of the soap,
trying to hoard egg boxes before OH recycles them and going to put cadburys creme eggs in them for the teenage grandkids -oval bathbombs if I can get them for teenage grandaughter
Then I'm a bit stuck. There is an Easter thread on here that might be worth having a look at.

Had stig soap on a rope arrive this morning :T Massive box for something so small.........:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Hubbie had got me some pink tools and tool bag for Christmas (I did ask for it!) and my sister loved them.

Went in to £land today and they have tools with a black and white cow pattern on (can't think of another way to describe it). Got her screwdriver set with interchangeable heads, pliers, spanner, tape measure and hammer. Just got to make her a black and white bag to put them in and she is done for Christmas for a grand total of £5 as I have material for the bag already:T. Mmm think I may have to get the same for my niece as she has just moved in to her first flat!
;) The toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D
