Got a full refund and an apology!!
We saw a different manager, he tried palming us off with it works..... till he switched it on and it said he was doing 25miles an hr..
He apologised for the inconvience we had with it, refunded in full, then said do you want me to fetch you another model to look at!!
So off to Halfords we went 5 mins later, new Sat Nav, all set up ready for use - considering b4 we went to Halfords for the whole journey (30 seconds!!) he didn't want one, couldn't shut him up, what a godsend they are, how we wouldn't be without mine....
Were sorted at last...x
Excellent, well done! I'd love to have seen his face when the sat nav told him he was doing 25 miles an hour :rotfl:
Did he apologise for the whole 'disability - are you sure you didn't do something to it?' outrage?Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Sugarspun - that is a gorgeous little girl you have there, what a sweetie. How old is she now?
My boy has just turned 2 years old and we are going to try for our second baby later this year. We're hopefully going to France in August so sometime after thatMaking money for Christmas 2012!0 -
sugarspun - gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous and I noted the little Christmassy outfit, very nice!!
spendless - what a day! hope you managed to get a little bit of relaxation in the evening. my last day of work before xmas my parents had had the boys, and when i went to collect them, step-DS had been sick. So all the way home in the car with a bowl, stop off half way home for him to be sick out the car door (nice), and when we get home I got the other 2 DSs to wait in the car while I took step-DS in. Went back to get other 2 out of car (can't open doors themselves cos of child lock) and DS1 had been violently sick everywhere! Poor lad - he said 'sorry mummy I missed but it was coming out of my nose and everything':eek: (not sure what he had missed but I decided not to explore that one...
mum2one - can I join the coppers challenge please? Will also put in my 5ps as they are just so tiny they annoy me! Would love to also do the ebay challenge but have never done it before, so will see if I get chance to look at the guide on here and figure it out. Signed up to dooyoo and my name is elyphant on there too - could you add me to the list? Have not done anything yet, but will do over next few weeks.
Sorry for long post!0 -
PS - well done mum2one with your satnav. Will def come to you for advice next time I need to complain!:T0

£39.93 for my sealed pot last year! Not as good as £200+ in 2008 but I didn't include notes this year. I've got them stashed elsewhere. Quite happy with that!

Phew - I can't believe it is the 6th January and we are already on page 23! I have only read the first and last pages, so will catch up later
Mum 2 one, was so pleased I found the thread for 2009, my DD has already had her monies worth out of her main Christmas present - a baby Annabel which she never puts down, we are constantly dressing and undressing her and feeding her. I bought her with a load of clothes and a carrycot from our local flea market for £4!!! Yes there are bargains to be had!
I started my Christmas shopping for 2010 on Boxing Day, bought some nice bits from Boots at ½price, but will also be checking out the 75% sale to see what other lovely goodies there are.
December 2009 ended up being a bit of a nightmare, I was poorly for most of it so the wrapping ended up being done by my OH bless him and I was so glad to have nearly 2 weeks off to catch up on my sleep, my head finally feels as though it belongs to me again lol...
OH has also decided we are doing a £10 a week challenge which means we will have £500 (each) by the end of the year, I am also starting a £1 a day challenge and have my sealed pot in which I put 10p and 20p pieces, I got £60 last year which wasn't too bad seeing as I didn't start till May so hoping for at least £100 this year. I have to keep this one quiet tho or OH will try dipping in it for change for work.
Well that is me updated for now. Add my name to the list again Mum 2 One and keep up the good work!
:TMotto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j

Hello all, hope you're all warm and snuggly!
mum2one - well done, so glad you got your result!
shelovestobuystuff - sounds like some fab bargains, will hopefully be some left for my official day off on Friday (off today cos of snow and ice but stuck at home)
Had a nightmare trying to get home yesterday - took me almost six hours to do a 45 minute journey  Was very scary and slippy but both me and OH made it home safe (took him 4 hours to do 10 miles) so very, very glad about that - I was really calm driving (not like me) but shook like a leaf as soon as I got out of the car - I'd needed the loo since I left work too so especially glad that I made it home in that sense :rotfl:.
My friend had to get towed part of the way home by a tractor - lovely how people help each other out when things get tough
Lady whose husband's away (sorry remembered your name til I started typing this sentence!) really hope he gets home safe and soon xx"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"
