susan -love the mini pamper bags, soups and pint of socks:T I've tried to do a pint of guiness with a black scarf (freebie) but by the time I've got that in the glass I can't get the bath scrunchie to stay on top  Any ideas before I give up ? I must be going wrong somewhere........or maybe the scarfs too thick ?
Had an e mail from fabric co. asking me if I wanted more fabric swatches...........I had two lots already but being daft......just had to order some more...........lol
Good job on the recycling thread there's a link to things to do with them..............lol:rotfl:
Glad you seem to be getting sorted with sky.
Cupboard is now stood in the kitchen while we think of a place to put it. Oh dear..........this rate we'll need an extension............lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Finally I have sorted DS's bedroom and have a nice pile of clothes for ebay will try and get them listed tonight if I can locate my camera. Then need to start on my lists although I need to sort out what I already have so might have to do it monday so i can get things out while they are at school;)
Susan Love the mini pamper bags can I ask were you got the bath bombs from please, Just thinking of a couple of cousins this would be good for:D
Mary-op hope you find a home for your cupboard soon.
Anyone any ideas what I can do with empty ferrero rocher tubs?:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Susan - well done on the making today, looks lovely and you have made me laugh at the thought of dressing up as a turkey!
Mary - I am just like you too, Magpie OH calls me! We only have a small 2 bed house and I am stuck for space but cant waste anything!!!
Well the only thing I have done today is make decisions really! Decided I am going to go for making snowman soup, Tesco have the chocolate chips on offer 3 packs for 1.50 instead of 75p each! Also decided to do a chocolate hamper for my Mum for Christmas as she has lost nearly 3 stone since July and has not had so much as a chocolate button since then and she LOVES her chocolate! Thought I would put some chocolate in but hoping to get choccie candle and smellies etc so if you spot any guys please let me know! Didnt have to make Postman Pat cakes as DS got distracted and has not mentioned them since! Now watching good old X Factor and then an early night as I WILL start wrapping tomorrow AFTER I have put everything on Ebay!!!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

Thanks Susan and I love all the bits you have made.
Legendmum - I did a cadburys hamper for a friend last Christmas (actually might do another for another friend this year) and it looked really nice if I do say so myself. All of the packaging was purple of course so I used some silver stars cellophane to set it off. Looked very professional and my friend didnt realise I had made it!
I made some flannel reindeers today, they look a bit like flannel bunnies but I will Christmasify them nearer the time!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
was starting to panic as feeling very unorganised, and only 5 weeks until baby due. But working through santas challenges I feel much less stressed. Big Thank-you's ;

HTH0 -
This thread is moving really fast now - will have to try harder to keep up!!
Thanks to mum2one and Miss Hoodie of course for the challenges.
Freezer
Luckily mine is frost free and doesn't have much in it at the moment, but I think I'll have a scan through and make sure there isn't anything in there that would be better off in the bin! Could probably do with a wipe round so I'll get on with that tomorrow.
Food List
I am very lucky that I don't have to cook Christmas dinner as we are going to my Dad's this year so not much food buying needed!
Halloween
Just got to decide whether to buy some sweets or just hide and pretend we're not in. We live in an upstairs flat anyway so not many trick or treaters come round.
Half term
Don't have kids so this doesn't really apply to me. Sister is a teacher though so we have arranged a Christmas shopping trip to buy for each other at half term.
Stockings
Don't bother with these.
Ebay
Have started looking round for some stuff to ebay, but when we last moved I got rid of most of my clutter so I'm not sure what's left...
Christmas Lists
These are mostly in my head! Or on my phone when I get hit by inspiration!! Will have to transfer them to a proper list and get myself sorted.
Secret Santa
Definitely up for getting involved with this one. :j
Batteries
Not really needed because I don't have to buy toys!!
Christmas paper
Discovered I have some of this left over from last year - found two big rolls yesterday! Bought some more from the charity that I support so probably got enough!
Chat
Not really needed as I don't have a massive family and OH buys for all his side. Only buy for one or two friends and their kids so not a huge list anyway.
Pampering
This sounds like a good idea!! Will have to sort something out asap!
Christmas cakes
Am going to attempt this for the first time this year - got a recipe and noticed that Asda started putting the ingredients on special offer last time I was in there. Will have to remember to take my ingredients list next week as I want to do the cake in October sometime.
Hampers
Probably only doing two and they are coming along piece by piece! Need to do the foody bits yet - probably in October sometime too...
School presents
Not applicable, no kids!
I wants
I have plenty of these!! OH is dithering over his main present so am going to put a boot up his backside and help him make up his mind so I can see how much money I need to save!!
Don't forgets
Have a stash of bits and pieces I use for emergency presents throughout the year so probably ok with this one too.
Well, I think I'm more organised than I thought after all that!!!! :T0 -
mum2one - can't remember if I saw this in an earlier post but were you looking for ghd's?
Anyway, if you were - have a look on www.ghdhair.com and they list all the legitimate sites you can get them from. There are tons of rip off sites selling fakes so you have to be careful.
You can probably get a pair from between £80 and £90 if you shop about, it depends if you have time to look at all the proper sites!
Hope that helps!0 -
Im a regular lurker lol, i know theres loads of info on pots of gold etc and ive looked everywhere for suitable pots can anyone tell me what I can use or what you use for the pots please, fab challenge this year and wow everyone are busy bees at the mo, some amazing ideas and so easy to get lost in the xmas spirit shame everyone looks at me like a mad woman when i mention it lol x
