yeah ......banks r great
You get charged to reduce your overdraft?
I was on the phone to my bank the otherday, at the end I asked if i get credit checked etc each time i want to reduce my overdraft, he said no it's done without any checks and approvals, but mentioned nothing about being charged for it!0 -

why would he ,if they have 2 arrange a OD they would have to re-arrange a reduced OD otherwise what is the arrangement fee 4Always remember that you're unique, just like everybody else:cool:0 -
More rot. They are not better off. The idiots who are better off are those who can repeatedly pay £39 charges for months on end. Poor people do not incur the charges more than once.
And a parent who is poor never uses prepayment meters and they budget for Christmas and birthdays. That is part of their obligations as a decent human being. They should stop wasting money on charges and treat their children instead of the banks.
With parenthood comes obligations. Giving money to banks for charges is frankly sick. Using prepayment meters when you have children is frankly sick. Not budgeting so your children can be fed, kept warm and educated is frankly sick. Benefits in this country are very generous. Child tax credits for the low paid are slightly dodgier but can be negotiated with care. Their is no excuse for families with children to be incurring charges.
Grow up.
How do you come to the conclusion that "Benefits in this country are very generous" Do you actually know what every benefit is worth?
In your other posts you like to say "You are talking rot" If you can not tell me without investigation how much these benefits are, then you are talking ROT to suggest they are generous!0 -

The reason for my phoning was because of 2 charges i incurred(I have never phoned about charges before, as although they are extortionate I know i went over my limit, but this time I felt they were wrong)
He said as i had none refunded before he could refund these..
He was very nice, and had a bit of chit chat too.. Which is why I was surprised he didnt tell me about this0 -

I felt rage.
Not something I am proud of and I must admit, something I struggled to control.
Then I felt pity.

The reason- there are far more deserving cases than her from Yoeval. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.

you wait till it happens again(hope it doesnt by the way) u will hit a brick wall
here is a quote from hsbc terms and conditions for an OD which puts out the "stealing from the banks " flame
"You would be surprised how many current account customers issue cheques, or use their debit cards, and when we receive them, there's not enough money in their account, or any existing formal overdraft limit is insufficient.
It is not surprising really. We all lead busy lives, so it's hard to keep a track of what's going in and out of your current account everyday. And, we know you can't control exactly when debits hit your account every day.
When this happens, we assume you would like us to pay that debit and that you're making an informal overdraft request. And if we agree to it, the overdraft will be provided for 31 days. If another informal request is made during this period, we will treat it as a new request."
so there u have itAlways remember that you're unique, just like everybody else:cool:0 -
