The odd, the strange and the downright bizarre - any ideas?

  • Hi Rosie,
I've got a similar outlook on life, and to help me get the most out of life, I joined a social club called Spice (SpiceUK.com) I've been a member for about 4 years, and have done a variety of stuff through them, and more as a result of the ideas it's given me.

It's a franchise organisation, with groups across the country. I spent yesterday going through a couple of the club sites picking out events for next year. My list now covers 2 sides of A4 and I will spend today working out which ones I can afford to do!

So, here are some of my ideas....
    River Thames RIB experience
    Landyachting
    100ft abseil
    Top Gun Air Mission
    Gyrocopter Flight
    Curling
    Diving with Sharks
    Quad Bike Safari
    Zapcats
    Wilderness Camping
    Orienteering
    'Horseplay' race
    Rat Race Adventure Race
    Tank Paintball Battle
    Caving
    Feeding Big Cats
    Zorbing

Last year I took part in an 'It's a Knockout' competition which was sooo much fun and involved copious amounts of foam and inflatables :)

Segway riding looks like great fun, a skydive is always worth a go, and as a snowboarder- I'd definitely give it that a shot!

Check out Spice- even if it's just for ideas. There are other clubs that do similar things- I happen to be a member of this one, and I've got so much out of my membership that I can't help but sing it's praises.
They're not always the cheapest, but will often get discounts on events as a result of group bookings. This type of group can also often get access to activities and events that aren't available to the general public.

Good Luck, and hope your 2010 is everything you want it to be :)
    Happy adventuring!!
