hello there sorry for cutting in on this thread but i am new to this site and dont know how to start my own, i have been trying to claim back all the late payment fees and admin fees £12 a time adding up to the balance on my littlewoods account of just over £300, i sent a request for cca and sar no cca was sent to me and i added up all the charges and paid off the difference so basicly the balance left is all charges slapped on the account i sent them a letter aqsking for the charges to be refunded and this was thier reply:

we are in receipt of your letter requesting a refund of the admin charges apllied to your account.
in order for us to consider your request, i would be grateful if you could clarify why you believe each of the charges hilighted in your letter should be refunded. once we have this information we will be in a position to investigate your concerns.
for your information, our fees and charges are applied as per the terms and conditions for your account. these can be found in your credit agreement, at the back of your catalogue and on our website under the section entitled terms and conditions.

i wondered if anyone could help me with a letter to reply to this, i havent a clue what to say and what to make it sound good!! i was using another site and everyone gave me some great advice to get this far but now i really need help and have had no replys so thought i would ask for help here, , it has now been passed to the debt recovery the pressure is on and i dont know what to do, they are still slapping on more charges the total is just over £300, also i am getting a bit worried now can catalogues send the baliffs to my door and also when i received the letter saying it had been passed to debt recovery it said they may start court proceeding against me, can they actualy do this if they do not have a signed credit for my account?? many thanks

They want to know on what basis you are claiming.

Did you not give a reason in your claim? I suggest you look at the appropriate MSE article for some guidance ;)

  • Hi i was wondering if someone could help reguarding claiming for charges i have recieved from littlewoods. I think its disgusting that there charging people £12 for phone calls they make to us that dont even last 2 mintues as well as charging another £12 for letters that they send us...i mean seriously how ridiculous is that....£12 for a sheet of paper with some writing, an envelope and a stamp! its ludicris. If any one can help me out here i'd be really greatful as i just don't know how to go about doing it.:)

Paying your bills on time is the simplest solution if the charges irk you.
  • yeah thats true but when your having money problems which means you missing only one payment, thats when the trouble starts cos then you have to not only pay off what you owe plus an extra £24 in charges which i think is wrong. I spoke to one of the advisers i explained that i had a slight mishap with a payment and that id easily bring it bak up to date, but it becomes hard when they add and extra charge on top and if you dont pay then they send another remind and call you again which then adds another extra £24 on top.
  • Hi this is my first time on one of these, i have been having problems with littlewoods, recieving late payment fees and fees for letters which add up to around £250 balance £404 most of the debt is fees, i fell behind due to job loss, i am now back in work so i have been paying a debt collector £40 per month even though already made these arrangements with litlewoods they still sent it to a debt collector without telling me first, i am still getting insufficient payment fees added to my account so for every £4o i pay im only actually paying off £28 of the debt as they keep adding £12 charges, can anyone tell me how i begin the process of claiming these back, littlewoods have been nothng but nightmare for me, i got this catalogue online jus to build credit, never again, any help would be appreciated, thank you
