Happy birthday purpleivy, sounds nice and relaxing.

Most of the food shopping is now done for Christmas, milk and the like OH can get when he gets his paper.

Thanks for the tip about the phone numbers Ruby....I'm with 02 so not sure what they will do for me...just buying a sim card anyway as there are lots of phones knocking around, should give them to charity but never seem to get round to it.

Very cold here but no snow and don't think that there is any forecast, so will be a wet Christmas for us.

Pork chops, fennel, leek, carrot and onion with baked potatoes for dinner all ready in oven, waiting for DD4 to come from dentist, I usually give her and DGS2 dinner on Monday as it is a busy day for her.

Hugs to all in need or want,

    Marie

Hi everyone. I was on night shift last night, got to bed at 7.30am so didn't get up till 12.30pm. I then braved the snow to take my pony's rug to be mended, it took me ages to get back as I have to drive past Mr M and there were huge queues to get in the car park. I need to go pick up a few bits tomorrow but luckily I'm only 10mins walk away so I'll levae the car at home. This afternoon has been spent making choccys for presents. I made some choccy mints and christmas pud bon bons, both recipes from this site so thanks to whoever posted them. Still have some more to do tomorrow.

Tonight's tea is HM stew from the freezer, I'll top it with mash to make a variation on cottage pie and serve with veg. OH has taken HM lasagne from the freezer to work.

I'm so cold today, heating has been on all day but its still a bit chilly, have turned it up slightly but I refuse to turn it any higher!!

WM machine has been on today, its a while since I did any and a single load cleared the basket so I'm happy! Think its probably about time for a bedding change though.

    Afternoon everyone.
Well Sainsbury's was manic. I dread to think what it will be like the closer it gets to Christmas. Fortunately (and for the first year in I don't know how many) the Fast Track they have was actually working (I always thought they deliberately switched it off to prevent more pilfering) so we didn't have to queue to pay for our shopping :T getting round the aisles was a bit of a nightmare and DD managed to break half a dozen eggs :o I couldn't leave the trolley in the middle of the aisle as it was so busy so rather stupidly parked her next to the eggs. Next thing my mum is shouting me saying she had dropped a box :o:o

I have plans to make some chocolate rum balls tonight. Going to attempt my first swiss roll tomorrow and perhaps some Christmassy fair cakes. Got to crack on with the cleaning too :o

Right going to sign off and put DD to bed - In the Night Garden has finished so she should be happy :)

Nic1lou2 - sorry your OP was cancelled. I hope you are out before Christmas day but like you say better that than to be in the position of the poor person who was an emergency.

csarina - your bag is lovely :T

Purpleivy - :o sorry forgot about your birthday after the posts last week. Can I blame it on my blonde hair? I hope you've had a lovely day and enjoy your Wii when it comes :bdaycake:

Have a nice evening all. Getting excited now about the big day - I am such a child :rotfl:

    Evening all

We moved offices at work today...went smoothly enough but I then spent all day re-filing hundreds (felt like thousands) of files. I don't think we;re going to get paid until christmas eve () so I best make sure everything else bar the shopping is done and pray the snow stays away!

I also had a real iffy tummy today which had me feeling quite lousy all day. I have the constitution of an ox so belly-ache is a very rare occurence and I had myself convinced it was my appendix at one point when in reality I probably just need a good f@rt :o:D

Had an email from one of the MS companies I do work for desperate for someone to do a cinema job...they offered to up the rate and pay for two adult tickets.....guess where we're going tomorrow night? :D can't really call it work and its a lovely cinema that has a VIP section at the back with big comfy seats

Nothing much OS wise - left over chilli was for tonights dinner but I fel so rough I've ordered them lot a chippy so I'll keep it for tomorrow night.

I'm hoping to get some wrapping done when the kids are in bed although I think if i go into the bedroom to get the pressies I might just end up climbing in bed!

    Enjoy the rest of today
