    Windows 7 is faster than XP and works much more smoothly. The Windows Media Centre in 7 is excellent as well. If you stay with XP you're missing out imo.

    Nah windows 7 dont run faster lol. and i wouldn't use windows media centre seems all aload of rubbish. Windows media player with FFDshow and vlc installed does me ;).

    Listening to music via vlc right now, and just noticed the 'cone' has a santa hat, how've they done that?

    Yes, my vlc cone has a santa hat too, I wonder how long that's been there for?

    Incorrect sweeping statement. On YOUR hardware it might be faster. You have no idea whatsoever what hardware the other person has so you are in no position to tell them that it WILL be faster. In fact, W7 might not even run on their hardware.

    In all the systems I've seen so far it's been faster and nicer to use. And XP isnt perfect, far from it.
