  • SSL - at least you have kept your dignity throughout the years unlike the twerp you was married to (don't mean any offence in that as you loved him once). I can see where your DD is coming from, what a level headed daughter you have brought up - you must be proud!! I am for you

No offence taken, he is so different from the man I met 20 odd years ago. And I am proud of her. It gives me no pleasure, but she has finally seen him for the KH he is. But he is her Dad and she loves him.
He's been out and got the crisis loan cheque, we've been given enough to cover the cost of food for two weeks so that's good. Quite a relief! Not sure how we are going to pay bills that are due but not going to worry, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

Glad that you've got something sorted (((hugs)))

    Hi :j
Thank you jinks, ahsia, craftyscholar, carlsberrgal, boddy, rosepink, penpen, mrschaos, toochoosey, soappie for your congrats. It was a hard slog (from £40k debt) but we got there! And the cheap cava I'm drinking (very MSE) at the moment isn't ruining the moment. Hope any of you who are in the dark place we were also get sorted! Pigpen - it was all your paperwork tasks that helped! Thanks to every flylady for helping me to keep my chin up - eventhough you didn't know about it (we didn't tell ANYBODY how bad things were).

    Jx (still tearful)

    ETA and skintscotslass!

Congrats Jassa - that's a great achievement and a fantastic feeling at christmas!

The lights have flickered twice now... I suppose I should make contingency plans for power failure too... like moving the box from the top of the stairs so I won't fall over it!

Better check the fire... I'm going to see whether with a lateish night and an early morning I can keep it going!

Almond truffles done and bagged. Just the ginger ones to go. Think I'll do stockings in front of the fire for a bit first though.

I'm off to bed v. soon. The combination of a day of cold and a hot bath then a full stomach then more cold is just tooo much.

Sleep well people and please, biggest vibes if you can muster them for BG to turn up v. early in the morning AND be able to fix the damned thing.

    Night night
