I can't see that you would qualify for DLA for a broken elbow.Gone ... or have I?0

what if i am unable to use my elbow, i hasnt been fixed0

es i am able to prepare food.
cannot bath myseld husband has to give it to me, cannot tie my hair0 -
Don't think you will be entitled to anything as it's not searve. If you can cook and pick up your daughter then I am sure you can do other things and that's what the DLA people will see lol
I am sure your arm will get better, doctors tend to fix these sort of things, unless it's been servely damaged!Married the love of my life on 1st October 20110 -
I still don't think that you will qualify. My mum broke her arm and had various complications, but with very minor adaptations was able to do everything except drive.
If you think that you need extra assistance, you could ask the hospital about an OT assessment.Gone ... or have I?0 -
i hope so too it gets better.
it is severely damaged as i had the elbow reconstructed. have six screw's and am due to have another surgery to remove more dead tissue0 -
I doubt you'll be entitled to DLA, my brother-in-law fell from the top of a ladder, shattered his right knee, and his left ankle and has been turned down for DLA.
He has appealed as he cannot do anything for himself, is totally housebound as there are endless steps leading up to the road from his house, cannot use the bathroom as it is upstairs so has to make do with a commode and cannot navigate his wheelchair from the palour to the kitchen as his wheelchair has been adapted to keep his legs straight so he can't get through the kitchen doorway.
The consultant says he will never walk properly again and will need a new knee, so I really don't know how disabled you have to be to qualify for DLA, but good luck anyway.Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0 -
awww im sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. i hope he recovers soon
ive given up and have just realised, i'm never entitle to anything.0
