I think I mentioned that we were getting a rather unexpected and large windfall (though I doubt anyone remembers as I never post!). We used part of the cash and have paid off 7,238 GBP this month, which according to my records brings my total to 13,089 GBP.

I'm stunned and relieved - that's a US private student loan entirely paid off and another one half gone. I've got another $1,000 lump going in the next few days as well, so we're storming towards our goal!

    I just can't believe it.

Wow! 57% :D Well done bloodofareptile. It must be such a great feeling to have paid off a large lump sum.

    Hi Dragon,

This sounds a great idea! Would I be able to join in too please? My original DFD is June 2013 but would love to have it brought forward to the Olympics and this will give me lots of motivation.

    Thanks

A massive (for us anyway!) £456.60 off our total debt this month - only £14142.60 remaining now!! Finally at the point where we're not getting charges and the higher interest cards are nearly paid off, so we should start to make some progress now :):):):)

    Hello Everyone

Dragon I have today made a payment of £75 towards my student loan. My total paid is now £3094.34 which I make to be about 17.5%.

I got my tax credits renewal through today, and I have updated with them over the phone. Can't wait to find out how much I've slashed off my tax credit debt. I'll keep you all posted of course.

Well done everyone, keep up the hard work. And as always thank you Dragon. :T

Hello everyone, we are all doing really well.

Dragon on the starting post you have put my total paid off as £2283.57 when it should actually be £2783.57.

    Thanks in advance! :D
