I think I mentioned that we were getting a rather unexpected and large windfall (though I doubt anyone remembers as I never post!). We used part of the cash and have paid off 7,238 GBP this month, which according to my records brings my total to 13,089 GBP.

I'm stunned and relieved - that's a US private student loan entirely paid off and another one half gone. I've got another $1,000 lump going in the next few days as well, so we're storming towards our goal!

    I just can't believe it.

LOL - VERY unlikely! We'd be in a far different position if we hadn't had an unexpected lump of money land on us - just squeaking to the finish line!

    Hi everyone,
I haven't been on the site for a while, I have been doing a very convincing impression of an ostrich! I know it's late but could I join please? I have done my snowball and my estimated DFD date is Nov 2012 but would really like to aim for July 2012. My current debt is £12,940 (very scary!).
    Thanks
Too ashamed to admit how much I owe!!
