    I'd like to join please!... I'm still working out my total debt (think it's around the £10,000 mark) so will re-post with my target to clear by 2012!

    Good luck all :)
    Total debt at LBM... £16,815.02 :eek:

    I haven't really paid off much in the last few days. I think I have another £200 is to chuck on the fire out of this months pay (15th of each month). I just need to get the DD's due on 1st out of the way and make sure there are no nasty surprises lurking afterwards so I will probably hold of any major payments until the end of the 1st week in Feb.

    It's really scary when you add it up. Most of it is just the minimum payments, although I have overpaid slightly as per my snowball but just think about all that interest I'm paying :mad: what a waste of money!

    It's the interest isn't it. At the start of this month I was paying over £50 per day - £12 on debts and £38 on the mortgage.
    That's £1500 per month on average:eek::eek:

    I'm getting the daily interest on the debts down via BT's (and repayments of course) but I'm stuck with the mortgage for now - that's going to be my 2020 challenge;););)

    10 years from now I will be interest free:D

    Hi all,

    Not sure how much have paid this month (cos added a wee bit), but my new total is now £7,484! Under £7.5K at long last, so £964 paid since started this challenge, I surprise myself!
