I'm all done, cleared the last hurdle this month. Woohoo:T

Would you all budge up on that winners rostrum and make room for one more; I'm hearing the start of the national anthem of New Zealand and all I have to do now is shower you all in this magnum of Champagne. :rotfl:

Thanks to you all for spurring me on and especially to the Dragon for keeping us all in line, I wouldn't have done it without this forum and all the support and money saving tips and ideas.

Now I'll have to find a savings challenge, so I can keep motivated to continue the good work and save some money for a new car and perhaps a holiday, before we start to tackle the mortgage.

I am not quite at the half way point just now so still a long way to go and this month and last seem to be doing nothing but forking out money for one thing or another but hopefully will start back near the middle of the month so keep the podium warm for the rest of us xx

Hopefully two more grand to come off this month if my flat sale completes. Plus my monthly income thereafter should significantly improve - the aim is to rent a room in a house share which will be about a third of the monthly costs I have been paying.

If I'm careful, it should take me another 7 months to pay off my personal loan and that's allowing for 500 spending money. After that I'll have to start saving for a deposit but one step at a time.

  • Wow this sounds like a good challenge I'm I too late to join in?

I've got approx - £4000 to get rid of asap as I want to start saving for a YMCAfit course. I need some motivation to stop spending and start paying off what I've racked up.
