Boots after-Christmas sales - 75% off now over?

I don't think the 90% off sale will be happening this year I know we didn't have it at my store last year it was canceled.

I don't think they sell anything from the S&G site, I think they're telling you it can be had at Boots or Harvey Nics (obviously they don't update the site often, lol).

Bought a survival box today, was marked as reduced to 75p as the ear plugs were missing - it then scanned as 18p!!! I was well happy!

No 75% stuff left in 2 stores I visited today, there was small section in one on friday and the other on saturday, mostly Star Trek, wrapping paper, few chocolate things but now totally disappeared. Had been same for few days would not have thought every bit sold so wonder if taken off shelves? Guess 90% off not happening. Anyone know?

i asked a sa yesterday about the 90% and she said it wasnt going to be happening this year! Dont know if she was telling the truth though!

in the Swansea Boots today all the christmas stuff was reduced to clear, i had 4 rolls of wrapping paper for 5p each and a ted baker set originally £15 for £1.50!!

What a shame, was hoping for some really cheap wrapping paper to wrap all my 75% bargains and there was still quite a bit left friday, I just cant imagine it all selling over weekend.

Went into my boots today and they had loads of the stripy hot choc mugs, biscuits in the tins and survival kits. There were 2 packs of star trek cards left so grabbed one for my son for his birthday prezzie for it to sacn at full price. I asked about it being in the 75% section and she said it was no longer on and everything including wrap was now back to full price and no further discounts will be available.

I wonder if that was just something your store was doing? Managers have discretion over when to mark things down, maybe they marked them back up? It would be a really odd move because I can't imagine people buying it at full price, but I also can't imagine all stores have increased the price of the little that's left.
