I didn't agree with her posting trying to make us feel bad about enjoying the sales or trying to tell us how to use our money, but come on, selling three hatboxes on eBay doesn't make her hypocrite! You don't know how much she has or hasn't given to charity.

When will I learn not to post on here. Yes I do E-Bay and I do give some of my profits to charity on there, Royal Marsden and Marie Curie to name 2, I am self employed so do declare my profit.
I am newly seperated from my husband and am left with a massive mortgage which I am struggling to pay as I dont want to lose my home. I went to the Boots sale and did buy a few things most of which I am keeping for presents and a couple of them are for me. I did not clear the shelves as some people did. If you had the kind of life I had ( married for 20 odd years to an alcoholic who drank all our money and too scared to leave him) you might not criticise me so readily. I make a few pounds here and there, care daily for my elderly parents and enjoy posting on here and getting a bargain. I am not a monster just someone trying to get buy. I will not feel guilty about selling things now and then if I want to. I should have not written about Haiti and am not a hyprocrite just a 55 year old fat lady trying to get her life together who is now sitting here crying because I am sick of people being nasty to me. If I want to post on here perhaps I will just do it as pm's to people i know instead.

    Dear lord.
For someone who is so emotionally unstable, maybe it would have been wise not to have come on to a forum with hundreds of thousands of members and preach to them? It's not nice being judged is it? Also, a wee bit of advice, it's maybe not a good idea to spill your heart on here about your personal life. That's what friends and family are for, not strangers on an internet forum.

    RIGHT........

    ....back to Bootsing :)

    Hi,

I have just got back from Glos store and still a few litle bits left mostly survial boxes and plenty of chilli pepper body cream sets(3containers).
I did get a couple of things but I was one of the lucky few to get an online order on Weds am and had it deliverd yerterday so wasn't greedy.

Well i suppose we can all calm down a bit now untill next yr.

  • Ive seen most posts on this thread now (Cos ive nowt better to do!!) And im guessing there aint many MSE'ers from my neck of the woods?! (Burnley) If there are, i wouldnt bother going, i went on weds and there was quite abit but again people with 3/4 baskets and there werent any big gifts. Got a fair bit though and good job an all! Went yesterday and all there was were some mugs, small chocs and lavender purse things (100's of them!!) Really annoyed with sale going offline, had a few in my faves now back in stock and i aint paying full price. Anyone know why they have pulled it? For what reason?

And with regards to some previous posts, Charity begins at home. Sorry if that sounds slefish, but people will donate if they want. Not because they are told to do so.

How selfish an attitude. I am not emotionally unstable, my family are part of my problem and I do not have a vast amount of friends thanks to my OH. I was not preaching just trying to put things on perspective. It is often better to speak to strangers who can offer advice and help.
  • Since everything is going OT and out the window can i jump on the wagon and ask please, how do people get the writting stuff under there posts? lol TIA

I'm selfish? Haud the bus! It was YOU who started preaching to innocent bystanders about bloody Haiti and trying to make them feel bad about their Boots bargains. As I said, it's not niced being judged, but to be fair you did start it. I don't know what reaction you expected but this is what you got.
Can we end this please, I'm getting quite embarrassed for you and no one wants this thread closed.
