There were loads of Good Works shower packs left at my branch and I think it's probably because of the colour (sort of dark shocking-pink!). However, the stuff inside is lovely; aromatherapy bath and shower stuff and despite the colour the pack is really useful as there's space to pack other stuff and a hanger incorporated. My message to that greedy wunch of bankers:
Debts another fine mess you got us into!
If you see somone who hasn't got a smile, give them one of yours.0 -

Once upon a time there was a Boots thread, which was friendly and helpful. Then posters started to forget the point of the thread, and formed into cliques, and weren't polite to each other, and the thread was closed - permanently.
I for one am very grateful for this thread, and would hate to see it go, but fear that that's where it's heading. It may be closed anyway, once the sale is well and truly over, but it seems a shame not to keep it going while we can.0 -

Yes, that should be fine.
Actually, you can usually get away with a lot less.0 -

I stopped giving to charity when i found out only 20% reaches its target. 80% ends up in the hands off corrupt politicians, 'charity workers' and even drug cartels etc. Did you notice when the Iceland banks went bust - Billions of pounds were lost by charities who invested there. What right have they got to stash this money in the bank, when someone may have given their last £10, thinking it was not being used to save someone?
Having watched people die on the streets of Haiti, because the US government is sat on all the aid, while people within 50 yards of the airport are being shot and dying - its not money thats the problem - its the will of the givernments, who will still be sat around a desk planning how to distribute the aid. Its 10 days since the quake - and still barely a trickle of aid has got out.
And finally, Gordon Brown has generously given many millions in aid , the second largest in the world. Well that was my money and yours, so we have contributed.
I would love to take something myself, so i can see it being handed over - thats different. But my avoiding the sales, which i paid for with points anyway, will not make the slightest difference.
I take your point and am sorry I upset some people. I agree we should be able to enjoy our bargains as I will. All I was saying was people on here dont need to be so nasty when there is so much suffering. And I was maybe wrong about the giving to charity aswell. Some of my bargainsare being given to my sister when I go to see her in 2 weeks to be used at a fundraiser. They then raise cash and she and her colleaugues buy clothes and toiletries to take and give direct to the victims.0 -
Thanks, I am defo going to pick it up then before someone nicks it!0
