The prices are alright the Boots No7 vanity case was £60 in the Uk and here it was 76 euros when it should have been 66 according to my calculations. So not as it should be but a lot better than it used to be. A lot go to The North for normal grocery shopping now. It is really overpriced here. Monsoon is one of the worst for their currency converters, its cheaper to order of the British website and pay the p&p. ;)
I dont get to the North for shopping at all, have 2 small kids so like a lot of the others on this website just glad to get to the shops without kids and a double buggy. :o
Am going to try Boots next wednesday as their reductions are always on a wednesday, so its worth popping in on the offchance to see if it 90% next week.

That's great to know, I'll mention it to my cousin maybe she'll get some bargains. With regards to grocery shopping, my sister lives in Portadown & the two of us when to the shopping centre just before Xmas. It was crazy the number of southern regs that were there. Ladies where just emptying shelves of bread, veg & food. i was slightly shocked, although hubby (who's a lorry driver) has to go to Cork quite often told me he stopped for a sandwich, packet of crisps, coffee and bottle of water and had very little change left from 20 euro.

BTW, if you need anything from up here just send me a pm.

    All the best.

I have read quite a few posts like this, and would like to make one massive moneysaving suggestion. Stop buying presents for EVERYONE in your extended family if it's that big! I wouldn't dream of putting myself under so much stress with that big a family. Secret Santa, buying only for the kids and not the parents etc - lots of families do it.

I only buy for immediate family (no nieces/nephews yet), OH and his mum and close friends. And that's it. No SIL, BIL, colleagues etc. Thank goodness!!!

It'll save you a lot of stress, time shoe leather and money!!!!!!

    HTH.

I enjoy giving gifts and buying for other people and it is MY choice whether I buy for my extended family. This christmas I bought for many family members, some of whom have never bought for me but that didnt stop me as they are my family I love them and they have been there when I needed them so why should I get them a gift at Christmas? I didnt get anything back off some people and wasnt expecting it, and it didnt matter. Christmas for me is about the joys and family and giving to those you love. This is the first christmas I have been able to do it as I made the conscious decision the christmas before to be a savvy shopper all year and look out for items family members would like that were in my budget. I had a great christmas and am buying for them all again plus a few more, and again I am doing it via sales. Im not going to stop doing that just because other people dont or dont enjoy buying large amounts of gifts. It not stressful for me I enjoy it :D But Im a big christmas nerd hahaha
