  • Funny you should say that. One year I took my boyfriend with me to the boots sale and he was talking to one of the sa and she said to him that the trafford centre store took in sales stock from the stores in the manchester area so you could just be right there.

Good luck with your exam tomorrow- are you at manchester uni?

I work in another shop in trafford centre and thats what usually happens with our store so I guessed it would probably be the same with other places. Theres huge footfall because its so accessible because of the motorways.

Thanks for the luck, I need it. Boots sale has completely distracted me and idled my brain. I am indeed at Manchester Uni, going a masters degree.... which ironically is maths so ive been loving working out my sale saves and spends hahaha

There is no 90% sale this year. Anything not sold at 75% off will be destroyed and disposed off - asked a manager in store today.

I have never seen a 90% off sale - dont remember it happening last year unless it is just individual stores getting rid of the odd ancient item. I do believe they were great in the "gold old days" (lol!) a few years back but I had not discovered the ancient art of bootsing then lol :rotfl:

Most of that stuff the greedy people took will be on eBay or Car boot sales by the weekend.
I think there is already a lot on ebay we should all start up a group on Face book saying dont buy any boots stuff from ebay there ripping you off :rotfl:

  • ooo hello!

I was wearing big pink coat and a bright red face. Did you go in on the ground floor or first floor? It was quite good fun wasn't it...until my arms got achy :)

Sorry didnt see any mirrors in the trafford centre boo

Ground Floor :) everyone ran up the stairs to get in lol it was quite a sight!! I was the oriental girl with the small pulley.

Re Manchester Fort the 135 bus runs past there they are ever 2-5mins and take about 10mins or less to reach the Fort from Picadilly.
  • After such a terrible start of the day (trying to order online&getting nowhere) I had a very good morning! Went to Boots in Portsmouth and got everything I needed. There were not any Elle sets left except the small ones with 3 dif sprays. I have got Gok sets, R&M mirror sets, Ch Pepper & make -up, fcuk gift boxes. Got extra points as well. :jPeople were very nice and patient. I felt for mums with pushchairs as many of them were trying to fit big Gok sets into the baskets underneath the pushchairs with no space left!

I love this thread; thanks to everyone for their updates!:T

hope you all enjoyed bootsing we did! got a gok set each tenner instead of £40 each lol! to cheer me up as having op tomorow.

also lovely lavender set £2.50 with 6 products
all sorts of sets chocs etc

also used a coupon from machine spend £35 get 250 points and buy jelly products 250 points and 200 points on vits!! good haul.

Our coupon machine seemed to be reprogrammed as very few offer coupons available today and no points spend coupons which is very unusual but I tried my card and oh's.
