Grrrrr
I am NOT one of these people...but you will find a thread on the 'Up Your Income board' where people buy to profit. It is some peoples income. I don't think its easy. Not what I would want to do anyway. Although it may seem easy money, these opportunities only come around now and again. I would hate to be relying on it! But I don't let it bother me.(except when it is concert tickets....that does annoy me!). I think the difference is you can buy toiletries and the like anytime, but if there is someone you really want to see in concert it might be the only chance you get!0 -

To be honest i didn't find it all that great myself. I did manage to get a few things but nothing I intended to buy. Im from a small town so my boots is limited as it is. Had I have known that there would be v little then I probably wouldn't of bothered and stayed out of the snow!0

Having lurked on this thread from around 21:25 last night; I logged into Mr B at midnight and got thrown out as others did. Eventually came up at just after 05:00am, where I whisked through the sale items adding what I really wanted to my basket..... however site repeatedly crashed and wouldn't let me check out. My basket dwindled to a few items by 06:30 as others somehow managed to add them and check out successfully
Decided to shower and head for a store instead determined not to be beaten! Got ds ready for nursery and dh dropped him of at 08:10; took me to Boots on nearby retail park before he went to work. Actually managed to get some gift sets.
Boots sa's were all just going through the back with 'their' armfuls of goods but we still managed to get some decent gift sets:
Organics Gift Sets x4 (£2.50 from £12 each)
ITNG Figures x1 (£4 from £16 - for ds now)
Cuddly Lion x1 (£2 from £8 - for ds now)
Sanctuary Gift Sets x2 (£3.75 each from £15 each)
Lavender gift Set x1 (£2.50 from £10)
Fresh Basket Gift Set x2 (£3.75 each from £15 each)
Mens Toiletries Gift set x1 (£5.50 from £22)
Brush Roll x2 (£2.50 each from £10)
Christmas Cards x4 boxes (£1.25 each from £5.00)
Garden collection Magnolia Gift Set x1 (£2.50 from £10)
Large Royal Jelly Gift Set Bag x1 (£3 from £12)
Thanks to everyone on this thread who kept me laughing through the night - the 'orange man and Tracy Barlow' banter and details of those succumbing to earlybird breakfast butties/copious amounts of chocolate who made me feel that having weetabix was quite an anticlimax.
Well done to those who managed to succeed in checking out with their bargains :T
You wouldn't think Mr b spend a lot of money on an improved website for this year's sales would you :wave:Guccigirls MSE

I dont do it, but why shouldnt people buy stuff cheap to sell for a profit? isnt that what retailers do all the time. it is supply and demand, good luck to them.
Why would ebay stop profiteering?
No body is getting ripped off, if they are happy with the price paid.
ps
I went in to 3 boots today and nothinfg left, but so what its not the end of the world.0 -
I don't suppose Mr. B cares as long as "out of stock" appears alongside all the sale items.0
-
I am one of the sad ones too who got nothing. Couldn't get online and when i did at 11am, the site kept crashing. Every time I added stuff in to my basket, the site would say please try again later :-(
When I went to check out the little stuff I had but one item was out of stock. I tried to pay on my card 3 times and the site was not having it. Rang customer services who had me on the phone for nearly 20 minutes and he said my payment had not gone through due to a tecnical fault on their side. He checked the item and that was also out of stock.
I feel gutted as I really wanted to get some bits as i have a few birthdays coming up.0 -
That's the big irritation. If you go into town and the stocks gone, fair enough. But when you have it in your basket online and are almost at the point of paying, that stinks.0

word to the wise - check your store reciepts- just d/checked and been overcharged 12.00
s/a rang 2 items thru twice!0 -
my mum was charged for 3 fcuk sets and only bought two - only £3.75 but still not right0
