After being up all night with no luck in checking out (after 7 attempts) I've just come home from a lovely day out. Did quite well at the local Boots though didn't really get any of the toys I wanted, or any mens stuff but got something! Then went into another shop and bought a few more bits to put away for pressies (although missed all the reduced family christmas cards). Then on to my mums to pick up my daughter who had a surprise visits to Grandmas, and because I'd been so quick in town I actually got to spend time with my mum and dad too, something I don't get to do very often!! So although I am now dead on my feet, looking forward to bedtime and very disappointed that I will not be receiving any lovely big boxes like I did last year, I still had a lovely day! :j0

Just been to my local boots and it's quite small so only got a few gift sets like the bobby pin make up box for £4, botanics cosmetics purse for £2, Ted baker small cosmetics bag for £3 and the FCUK cosmetic purse set for £3.75. There wasn't very much in there and a few people started filling baskets, so had enough and went. Was quite happy but glad I didn't spend a fortune as it wouldn't of been hard to!0

Also heard the manager at chester city centre store chatting to his staff next to the rows of bare shelves saying "don't worry it wont look like this tomorrow" - got excited at the thought of a restock but chatted to a lovely SA who told me all the sale stock was out and they had none left in the back at all and they were shifting store layout later to just leave a "small space" for remaining stock. Have to say all the SA's in Chester branch are really helpful & lovely.0

I am a very happy shopper.
Popped into boots at lunch time for the bits I wanted not only did I get them with the 75% discount but bumped into someone I know that works there and he gave me his staff discount as well. Plus validated the receipt so I can add the points next time I am in store:j:j:j:j:j0 -
BlueCow - I was in Chester in an orange jumper! Hope I didn't bash you out of the way haha
I thought it was very civilised actually given the number of people who were there. The Trafford Centre last year was just ugly. Back to Chester this year
I got loads and loads of stuff, all the sanctuary bags were reduced to £3.75, loads of mens stuff. Got there 20 mins late, was devastated. Blooming traffic!
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
