  • Saw lots of ladies armed with shoulder bags worn across the body ready for the sales dash at Trafford centre this morning.... guessing they all listened to Sandras (I think it was? Sorry if Im wrong) advice on the MSE site hehe
  • Fairtrade hamper back in stock in faves. HTH someone! :D
  • Hi everyone!! I got in about 20 minutes ago from my bootsing trip! Got to boots around 10 to 9 and it was pretty busy.
Slough had (at around 11am) loads of lavender/rose sorts of sets, some fcuk mens stuff, r&m brush sets, some scarlett and crimson stuff, quite a few hair gift sets, loads of celia birtwell stuff, foodie items, some fcuk and ted baker womens stuff but not much! Some extracts and natural collection but again not much, however there was loads of fresh! stuff left. Hardly any toys at all, just loads of in the night garden stuff, kids electric toothbrushes (a handful of dalek/bratz) bratz toiletry bags and thomas hot water bottle covers! No S&G at all but they had about 8 of the bath and body No 7 sets and a handful of the smaller no 7 gifts. Also had quite a few no 7 mens sets and quite a few mens and ladies botanics sets. Cant say i noticed any 17 stuff. They had loads of bubble garages and a few other similar big toys! I was a bit disappointed that there wasnt any of the smaller £5/£6 gifts left like the fcuk keyring one as these make fab stocking fillers! Pretty pleased with my haul though!
    I got:
    Cyberman toothbrush
    Dalek toothbrush
    Dr Who figure
    Woodworks helicopter
    Cars character pack
    Science museum hologram chamber
    Dalek bubble bath
    Retro cufflinks
    Charles worthington shine gift set
    No 7 mens starter kit
    Cars wooden puzzle set
3 x lee stafford climate control
    Sweet tin stack
    Botanics mens set
Ruby and millie kabuki brush set
    Pack of 6 stud ear-rings £2 from £7 (not in 75% sale)
Total: £35.40 and have £1.36 points to add when i get a new card. Trying not to think of the extra points I could've had with vouchers. :o Did get 2 no 7 vouchers though. :D
Had a bit of a pallaver as i split the shopping into 2, 1 toiletries, 1 toys. The first debit card transaction went through fine but the 2nd one wouldnt go through, tried again but no luck so had to go to the bank to get some cash out! No idea why it wouldnt work! And I feel totally delirious due to lack of sleep (popped into my ohs work to take him lunch and it was like i was drunk!) and have been shaking all day! Nearly dozed off on the bus, kept jolting awake. :o:o:o Put my earphones in to try and keep me awake and nearly sang along, just stopped myself. :o Im very used to sleepless nights as DS is a very bad sleeper (5 years of not much sleep!) but a whole night without any sleep at all seems to have thrown my body into chaos.

I feel really p-d off that I paid £20 for a big thrill hatbox the other week and now it's £12.50. I actually bought 2. Wasn't expecting it to be in the 75% off sale, do you think they'd give me the difference? It arrives in store on Friday....[/QUOTE]
I wouldnt be pee'd off at that. Its still a great bargain. Chances are you wouldnt have got one if you'd waited for the 75% reduction. I'd just be more than pleased to have it if I were you. I think if people take the p.. too then Boots will review processes and we'll all miss out.
    You have a great deal.
  • Oh and I had to carry the heavy bags to my Ohs work, took 20 mins to walk and my hands were red raw by the time i got there and i was blooming freezing cos i forgot to wear a cardigan under my coat! I left the shopping in OHs car though so at least I didnt have to carry it back! Feeling sorry for myself.:rotfl:

Hey thank you for the info, did you see if they had any sanctuary gifts? also what type of toys? :o

No sanctuary that i saw but tons of boxes that needed unpacking so maybe later? couldn't stay as my 3mth lo was having a mental! and i couldn't carry anymore anyway.

Toys- scooby doo game, chou chou, baby annabel brother, another doll tiny tears?, elc rock dolls, playskool baby ball thing!, i love ponies, fifi picnic sets, baby stackers, mr men, lots of night garden stuff, sure there was more and deff had more toys to unpack.

Lots of mens gifts chocs etc

    3 isles worth of stuff. i'm glad i went, spent £59 :T
  • Moneysaving mum - my cards wouldnt work in Sainsburys this morning. The self service till announced loudly my card had been declined and then did the same with the other card from a different bank altogether !
The SA said that it has happened a few times today and I went outside with same cards and withdrew from the machine. I was so embarrased though !
  • Awful, why not just do 75% off nationwide, everybodys waited long enough

I spoke to a store who didn't have 75% off and it was only because their prices didn't update over night, something central apparently. They said their prices would update tomorrow but that they couldn't change them all manually...
