  • I'm actually trying to buy something from online that has nothing to do with the sale but I think their payment system has imploded - everything works except paying and I don't want to use paypal - collecting cb from my credit card. grrrr

Forgot to mention Crawley has lots of Elle bags left too, and some no7 ultimate collection I passed on these as the contents were a bit 'everywhere'. Hope everyone managed to get something they wanted. :o

I was in the Crawley store around 11:30 and didn't see any Elle or No7 left then. Still loads of Gok sets and Chilli Pepper bags, plus Star Trek stuff, chocs and Bucks Fizz & choc sets!
  • Oh my god! Never again! Just got back from Lowestoft Boots, and it was MURDER!!! Got there at 8:15 to find a huge queue already, when the finally opened the doors, SAs had put all the No 7 Ultimate sets by the door and the first 20 people were busy blocking the doorway filling their binbags, YES BINBAGS that they had brought with them! In the end, with a large nudge from the lady behind me, I ended up charging the double buggy through them ,running over at least half a dozen seys of toes! No one could get in the store because of them! Going upstairs was just as bad!

After half an hour queueing for a till (gave up trying to shop!) It was worth it, 2No7 ultimate, 2 No7 nails, 1 ITNG musical mat and a dozen other gifts later I have arrived home in one piece, just!

Hello to the fellow MSEr who sussed me out trying to round up Paige (never let a 2 year old out the buggy when a sale as big as this is taking place!), sorry if I sounded rude, I was a bit stressed and harrassed, hope you got all you were after! And, you are a MAN! I am very impressed!

Hello i was that man!...yep all done and dusted had the list..ticked all the boxes 120.00 lighter..typical lowestoft ...push..shove ...grab...manic for a bit..got all that was wanted, saw u and ur daughter and the buggy and heard Paige being called,,,and thought hey ho thats mummypaige ive been reading on mse...u looked stressed...hope it was worth it...you never know we may meet again at another mse price spree

is it worth going after 5.30 to any Boots? is there anything left?
  • Few bits left but not worth special trip.
Got there 5 minutes after openning and nearly turned around and walked off - sooo many rude people. Do not mind people who trying to get presents for rest of the year but I do not believe that two full trolleys and six large shopping bags crammed full of same toy will end up as presents.

Totally agree. I got some great stuff at Eldon Square in Newcastle today (was first through the door - go me!!!). But was really hacked off that one woman had a team of people filling up baskets with ALL the Boots 17 make up sets (literally swiping armfulls off the shelves) in the store and returning them to her while she stood guard - how bl00dy selfish! It spoils it for those of us who just want to buy a couple as presents. The same thing happened last year with the No7 stuff. I really think Boots should limit goods to say, 6 of each sale item per customer to give us all a fair chance.

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on this thread. I have managed to sort out nearly all he family for the next year (birthdays, Mother's/Father's day and a start on Christmas as well!) Spent £62, but worth it for the savings I will make for the rest of the year! I also managed a Baileys Ice-cream maker, so very excited to start using that. Thanks again
  • Gave up with the online sale.

Popped into my local store and they still had a few bits left. Managed to get the mens No7 skincare starter kit for £3, thought it would be rude to not try the No7 mens gwp (seem to have loads kicking around). It didn't go through free, but scanned as gwp when once I scanned 2 of the sets. Didn't think to try the no7 voucher being given out at the moment.

Also, not sure if it is posted, but will make a new thread if not, S&G wash your hands of it is £1 a bottle. It was on the SEL so hopefully will be nationwide.

    Chelmsford update @ 12

    Meadows:
A few bits, the £10 Royal Jelly set in brown and gold sponge bag
    Quite nice cards left there

    High Chelmer:
I couldn't see any toys anywhere (unless they had them up the back with baby stuff?)
A lot of cards but they had nicer designs in the Meadows.
    Lots of wrapping paper
LOTS of the FCUK set with black wallet, hairspray and two lip glosses
A decent stack of the Front Cover makeup sets
NO No7 to be seen, I went and double checked over at the counter
    NO S&G to be seen
    Star Trek luggage sets
Quite nice sage green mugs with cream polka dots
    Chocolates & biscuits
Lots of the mini whiskey selection boxes
Lots of the small Archers sets
    Some Gaymers cider sets
    Some CAMRA winner ale sets
Lots of some mens toiletries in a mesh bag with blue strap? Unsure of brand
Lots of the rose/lavender little bags with wash puff and mini shower gel
Lots of red leather wallets (these were quite nice)
Lots of the mugs with cats and dogs toys in
    Lots of hot chocolate mugs
Lots of the generic big makeup sets (not really branded as far as I could see)
Fresh spongebags with bath buff and little shower gel thing

A staff member did come out with a trolley which had 3x Elle Macpherson white/black bags but they didn't even see the shelf before people grabbed them
Thanks :) I saw that too.
Oh and amidst the chaos this morning....I am proud to say I was the nice lady reaching up to the top shelf for everyone...:A

  • Well out of four orders only one is showing on my boots account? but got emails for them all. Rang boots and they can't access anything or take any orders as of yet as the systems have gone down at their end.

SOME ITEM NUMBERS ARE NOT SHOWING ON THE EMAIL, AND THE THINGS IT ISN'T SHOWING ON IS THE ITEMS I WANTED MOST :( DON'T THINK I'M GETTING ANY OF MY ORDERS, COS EVERYTHING I ORDERED IS NOW OUT OF STOCK. oops sorry about capitals.
