Good luck to all the Bootsers tomorrow!!!!

I hope you all get some fab bargains.

Buffet elbows at the ready. Remember the mantra..."pick and move, pick and move"

Nessynoo will be at Southampton West RP ready for the doors to open. I will be wearing a ludicrously huge fluffy hat, so come and say hello if any of you are there too.

hope thisis not a silly question, although it sounds it. Ive never been toa boots sale, do they have the actual price marked down? or do you have to work out what it will be at 75% off? id liek to do as little thinking as possible whilst im in!
  • Hi Nimi. Lakeside Boots opens at 9.30, and it was Hell on Earth last year, with people blocking the aisles, and sweeping shelvesful of items into their M & S trolleys!

When I went last week, I thought the stock levels were very poor, but that's not to say they won't take delivery tonight from lots of little branches, and you'll have overflowing bounty!!! Good Luck!!!!

    xx

went in this evening - they had more than last week but they dont have any no 7, sanctuary or S&G, nor did they have much FCUK or Ted baker. Its all the floral collection, royal jelly, some chilli pepper, boots extracts and mugs/sweets biscuits.

They dont have anywhere near as much stock this year than they did last year. Its ok for someone like me who wants to get the cheaper sets for work colleagues xmas gifts...
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

Apparently there was carnage at lakeside last week when people realised the 75% sale werent on! I spoke to a young lad in there this evening (i was snooping at goodies lol) and he said loads of people were waiting outside when it opened. And loads of them were p***ed of coz it was still 50%.

I'm betting that Lakeside is going to be hell tomorrow! I'm heading there for about 10 to avoid the initial rush.. i think its opening at 9.30 2mro but dont hold me to that its only what i heard from work colleagues...

OH GOD!!!! im gonna sooooo hate it ;( might just go later actually if there`s anything left that is.
    :T LLB HONS :T

If I add things to my basket will the price be automatically reduced when the 75% off starts?

    thanks

I went to the Boots sale last year & it was packed full of ravenous bargain-o-holics! I can't remember about the prices, but I don't think the reduced price was shown, so you work it out. Quite easy though at 75%, just half the original price, then half again. Bargain!

Good luck to everyone for finding what they want tomorrow. I don't suppose anyone knows what the Worcester store is like? Or anything in the Herefordshire/Worcestershire area? Don't want to make a special trip out to find them empty :P

Two years ago I went to the Sheffield city centre one about 15 mins before it opened at 8am, and I noticed that one of the doors was wide open. I went inside and upstairs and there was hardly anyone around. Just all this lovely stock reduced by 75%. I guess this is the sort of thing that MSE Bootsers dream about... I got a basket and started filling it but then one of the assistants came up looking cross and asked me who I was. She then told me that they weren't open yet. I asked if she wanted me to go back outside and she said yes. :o

I'm sure they have now learnt their lesson and will keep the doors firmly closed until the advertised opening time...

The first three and a half sentences would have been my dream come true.....;)
  • Well, GigglesFairy - that's why I suggested grabbing A Stranger From The Street to help you carry things!! Don't you have a Granny Trolley, then you could put some stuff in there, saying loudly to the Security Guard "I'm just putting those things in there cos I don't have enough arms", and then wheel it up to the counter?

Or is there a Sainsbury's/Tesco/Asda/Morrison/M & S within walking distance of Boots, and you could take one of their trolleys? Worth the £1 deposit, if you have an easy time!

    xx
