  • Purley, Croydon and Colliers wood had a little bit of stock left, but no sanctuary, soap and glory or No 7. Just the frames, mirrors some Gok sets, and biscuits and alcohol gifts, various smellies. I definitely know that in west end Picadilly circus is my best bet, so I will be there at 08.00am when the doors open. I wonder if I should take my big blue ikea bag and risk looking like a bag lady carrying it around all day.

I am imagining that my local boots will be dead quiet and i will walk in and get everything i spotted tonight, have a feeling i might be proved wrong. Is there likely to be a riot?

Would it be at all possible for people to read back a few pages before asking questions that have been repeatedly covered?
This thread is going to get incredibly fast moving and huge and adding questions that have been answered numerous times is not going to help, IMHO.

    Just a polite request.
well done on the post count SS!

I think there are a lot of new posters on here who dont understand thread etiquette yet. I mean that nicely btw
  • A Snowie is the name given to a £5 voucher, that can be redeemed against No 7 items (but not Christmassy things) or Ruby & Millie.

Strangely, though normally for Boots, you can redeem the shiny voucher that an SA gives you against any R & M product, even accessories, but you can't use the till spit from an SS till, except on R & M cosmetics, although they both have the same number.

The Sale is supposed to start online, any time from midnight tonight. That is not to say that it will start and, without the aid of a Crystal Ball, it could be half past 3 in the morning, and crash after 3 seconds.

Nobody knows for sure what stock will be in what store, and it may well be civilised in your local branch, or, as happened last year, the Police may be called because of the rioting!!!!

    Enjoy!

    xx

Thanks Sandra that clears that up :D

Im definately getting on the Booting train this year!

My dilema for tomorrow is how to carry everything? The stores I go to only have hand baskets and I want 4 gok wans and a No.7 which will prob fill two just to start with! And wont be very good for rushing! Hopefully the one I go to wont be busy so I wont need to rush, otherwise Im screwed! Alhtough I didnt spend four years on the fitting room in retail without gaining a remarkable strength when it comes to carrying products! hahaha

Arghhh sooooooo excited!!! Going to get my present list out now and see what i need! My worry isnt coming away with too much but coming away with too little!!! hahaha

Hi Nimi. Lakeside Boots opens at 9.30, and it was Hell on Earth last year, with people blocking the aisles, and sweeping shelvesful of items into their M & S trolleys!

When I went last week, I thought the stock levels were very poor, but that's not to say they won't take delivery tonight from lots of little branches, and you'll have overflowing bounty!!! Good Luck!!!!

    xx

Apparently there was carnage at lakeside last week when people realised the 75% sale werent on! I spoke to a young lad in there this evening (i was snooping at goodies lol) and he said loads of people were waiting outside when it opened. And loads of them were p***ed of coz it was still 50%.

I'm betting that Lakeside is going to be hell tomorrow! I'm heading there for about 10 to avoid the initial rush.. i think its opening at 9.30 2mro but dont hold me to that its only what i heard from work colleagues...
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
