How about a technical tresure hunt.
Since I heard about it on her 3 years ago we take the kids walking via www.geocaching.com
Its basically a treasure hunt using gps. Or a mobile phone with gps, a sat nav, or even google maps to try it out.

The closest i ever get to a "technical treasure hunt" is when we're all looking for the tv remote control ;)

Mmm....well mine have been playing with playdough for the past 1 1/2 hours. It's only 10am!

I'm a single parent for the next two days so I'll be popping back here for ideas (I just am desperate for them to not drag me out of the house as I don't like the cold!).
Snap, so was I and without the benefit of the pc to look for hours (thankfully that will be resolved tomorrow evening :T). Mine have been extremely giddy:rolleyes: and am very envious of those who had them still at school this week. Looked up my council's website and they are off a week before Christmas for the next few years here. Was welcome relief to go stand and do the grocery shopping instead today.:D

What they have been doing, played out couple of times but our small quantity of snow has turned to very slippy ice and with no school run to get rid of the snow on my street, is very very slippy! Made rice krispie cakes and watched a few dvds.
