So is it a case of they cancel the slot and thats it..or do they pick the order and give you the choice to collect it..or a call just to say sorry not going to happen??
Just wondered as all the xmas slots are booked now..

Not sure about asda, but last Feb tescos just cancelled my order and that was it.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

Tesco brought mine yesterday in the snow, but it's not too bad here; he said he'd been all over the place though, and it was worse in other places, but still made it through. How much snow have you got?I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0

Our Asda canceled all deliveries yesterday, without telling anyone.
Just got to wait for them money to go back on my card to pay back the person I had to borrow money from to pay for it in store!
On the plus side, they did give me a £10 voucher to use online, however I used a £10 voucher they sent me which I have now lost!0 -
:mad::mad: Asda didnt deliver our order last night - no phone call received
I rang them to be told it was cancelled, they didnt know why. They have just rung back to confirm it was due to bad weather, we live 300 yards from a gritted main road and we went out in our car yesterday.
no delivery slots til the 27th so tough luck on me:mad:
I am beyone livid as this was our Xmas shop, about to ring the local store;)0 -
My Tesco delivery still came last Friday when the snow was really bad.0

My Asda shopping was due for delivery today, they phoned and told me all deliveries for today are cancelled but they would pick it for me and I could collect from the store 6 miles away if I wished or else just cancel the order. I have chosen to cancel.
I wasn`t too angry as tbh I wouldn`t have wanted to go out driving in this snow so why should I expect anyone else to? However a token gesture such as free delivery on my next shop or a small voucher would have been appreciated.0 -
I've got my Tesco shop booked for Wednesday so I'm hoping we don't get any more snow.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

It's not just if the roads near you are driveable it might be worse where they are....... or their drivers might not be able to get in.
You are one of the fortunate ones as you have a car-plenty of people rely on delivery because they don't or have disabilities and are now well and truely stuffed.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I was going to have xmas food delivered because other half was supposed to bew working right up untill 6pm xmas eve, I couldn't do the shopping onm my own due to a disability, lucky i didn't and other half said he would come with me after work this evening
Although he will now be going on his own i think cause theres snow here now and i'll most probably land on my bottom!!
Sorry to hear some of you won't be getting your xmas deliveries.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

Which store was it, if you dont mind me asking?
Reason being, we had a delivery booked for last night from Asda Metro Centre, of an order placed last week (in wifes name). Delivery slot was 8pm-10pm.
Of course, it didn't arrive, and when we checked the hotline number, it closed at 10pm!!
We didn't get a phone call or anything. When she went into her account to check that she had the right day/time/address, the status just said 'Rejected'.
When she rang them today, they told her the delivery was cancelled due to the weather. She also got a free delivery offer, a £10 voucher, but they didn't have any delivery slots left, so we can't get this order delivered. Not sure yet if she has cancelled it for a refund or if she was given the offer to collect it if they put the order together.
I can undertsand the weatehr can hamper things, but was mostly annoyed that we didn't get a phone call, despite them having all her contact details.
We can go and brave the shops ourselves, but Imagine an elderly person/couple relying on that shoppping and it not arriving??!! :mad:0
