Id be interested to know how you keep on top of the dust?
We are smokers admittedly, so there is a bit of wayward ash I guess but IM sweeping it almost daily and it just doenst seem to "come up"
Using dustpan, swiffer type things, mini hoover:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...

When cleaning laminate on wood effect clean in the direction of grain. You'll find this will stop most streak marks showing.

The dust thing? I thought it was just us, on account of having 3 cats! I suppose it's just easier to see on laminate, rather than have it hidden in carpet.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Stardrops are a brand of cleaning solution. I am glad I am not the only one who has dusty laminate (I put it down to the cats too!). I also have a problem with slugs leaving their gunk and hot water and washing up liquid doesn't shift it ... I had forgotten about stardrops so am off to the shops to make a purchase ...:A ForOurFuture0

70% of household dust is from dead skin. One of those useless facts you pick up along the way. If you have stubborn stains that wont come off eg chewing gum, rust, crayon etc use a window scraper rub gently over mark. then wipe away.

incidentally, the swiffer type papery refills that you get in poundsrtretcher ( and are really good) are down to 50p. even though the pack is marked a pound. another bargian!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? I have purchased all the wipes, sprays and liquids to clean my floors and I can honestly say that they are not as great as they proclaim to be.
Does anyone have any ideas / products to clean floors that actually work?
I have tiled kitchen floors and oak effect laminate flooring
The wipes and sprays seem to leave a dull effect on the floors
Any ideas?0 -
I know what you mean - nothing much worked like the adverts - but everyone here recommended Stardrops and it's fab. 2tbsp in a bucket of water and my cream floor tiles came up really well.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hello, yes you can buy it anywhere. I get mine from Sainsbury's - it's something like 80p as far as I can remember and it's great - so much better than some of the new expensive rubbish that doesn't work like it says!:T
p.s. I have a stone tiled kitchen floor and it's a proper pain to clean but we use washing powder - sprinkled over, then get a stiff brush, add some water and get scrubbing!! and it works fabulously!!0
