Hmmm. Not sure I'd be happy about getting a final warning though.
Sounds like they bottled up but felt they had to come up with something.0 -
I have been reading this for quite some time, and like others did not post, after it got complicated as don't know enough about the law to comment. But just wanted to say Well Done on sticking with it.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

not sure how you got a 'final' written warning when you'd never even had a first verbal warning (to our knowledge) but well done either way. I'm glad it worked out ok in the end and hope that the 'bad blood' is settled by you getting that transfer to china that you want.
I would second that the grievance you put in shouldn't be dropped (by you or them) as without a complaint there isn't much they can do to punish him.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -
Have been reading this from the start and whilst i feel the final written warning is a little excessive i am glad you got it sorted out, well done.0

I'm so pleased to see that this has worked out for you. Like others I haven't been able to contribute as I know nada about employment law, but I have been following this saga since your OP ... I hope things settle down, and you can move forward from this0

Least that is over, think they gave you the final written warning as they were justifying to themselves the path they had gone so far down.0

Yet again they have fouled up, you cannot get a final written warning for the things you have been accused of, it would either be a first warning, for misconduct, or dismissal, for gross misconduct. Nor can you be "guilty" of sustained unacceptable behaviour leading to a final warning unless there have been previous instances.
Not only have they failed in their duty to you in failing to follow correct procedure but also your colleagues in failing to "protect" them from you.
Nevertheless if I were in your position I woul;d seek to draw a line under this now. You could file an appeal so as to get the matter removed from your record but from the previous incompetence and disregard for procedure I would not expect them to do the correct thing now. You could and should follow up your grievance against the sales manager and demand an apology from both him and the company due to its vicarious liability, but again is it worth the candle?
Good luck in the future.0 -
Glad it's sorted, but I consider a final written warning a bit harsh, hope they give the manager a suitable reprimand also. as for the 'lator, " another one bites the dust"0
