I've been following this saga since December, but not yet posted. I just wanted to say Good Luck to the OP and I hope he gets an outcome he is happy with today. The company have behaved appallingly.

It's over. The meeting lasted 2 hours.
I received a final written warning and I start work again next Monday. The manager chairing the Disciplinary (my Line Manager's manager) wants everyone to have a sit down and discuss a way forward and get rid of any bad blood.
I'm not thrilled to receive a final written warning (which was purely for my behaviour, not the drugs, he said he's 99.99% sure i'm not a user)
But at least I can try and move on now. It a harsh lesson, but its been very much learned, relearned and then hammered home a few more times.
I want to thank each and every one of you guys individually for easing my torment through this very difficult time. You've been brilliant. I'm addicted to this site now.
DirectDebacle deserves a personal thank you for the hours he put in helping me with my statements, without his help I'm positive that I would be down at the Jobcentre now, signing on.

Well done on standing your ground
What are they doing about the Manager though? I hope that he is going to get some sort of warning for his behaviour seeing as he tried to discredit you in front of your colleagues?0 -

Oh yeah, I forgot. The Sales Manager will not go unpunished apparently. It was said that a lot of the comments he made were out of order and they will be addressed.
So, I hope they let me know about that one.0 -
