I've been offered the chance to do run some booster classes at school (after school SATs preparation for year 6 children). I said yes straight away as I know how much it will help the kids, then I found out I get paid extra for it - £20+ an hour :j. When I agreed I thought I was doing it for free so that's a nice bonus.

I've also been doing one-to-one tuition after school which will earn me an extra £500 so I'm going to use all my 'extra tuition' money to pay for our holiday to France in August. Then any money we were planning on saving towards the holiday can just go straight in the savings account and live there for a while :)

Dh and I have been talking about having a second baby (yeay!) and we've decided we'll try after the summer holidays. But that means we need to save up as much as possible so I can have a longer maternity leave this time. I went back to work when my son was only 4 1/2 months old (because of money) and I would like longer off this time. My mind is a bit 'baby obsessed' at the moment and any money I save on presents etc I see as extra towards the baby fund :)

Morning all need to do a quick update of my money making (or lack of money making:o) this month.

Ok so far i've got £5 in my lightspeed acc and i've had 1047 nectar pts added to my card. Keep getting screened out of surveys at the moment:mad:, only need £1.30 in my valued opinions acc then thats another tenner. Had my xmas bonus added to my shop and scan acc so that gives me another £10.

So far earned this month £20 and pennies. I did manage to get a few bits from boots yesterday totalling zilch coz i used my boots points;)

So far spent on xmas - £30 and pennies - 80% done and dusted now:T
So far spent on b'day and other gifts - £17.55 - 70% done and dusted:T
    £387.39/£196.46

I received the £10 Amazon voucher from Free Snacks so ordered OH's box set of Knightrider dvds so when I get the Dooyoo one it will be towards daughters camera if thats what I will still get her. The box set was £47.88 and I had enough vouchers to pay for it and I still have about £5 left in my Amazon account.

Redeemed a £5 Amazon voucher from Lightspeed yesterday, so have put it into my amazon account ready for when I need it.

Got totally seduced by the Boots sale and spent £32 - so made a saving of £96. Mostly ladies gift sets at our Boots and not much men's stuff, but I have got most of the female birthdays and bits of Christmas sorted out now.

Just looked at my spreadsheet and so far have spent £122.95. Original spend would have been £463.21 so have saved £340.26.

Also £53 of that has come from Ebay sales, so have actually spent £70 - thgink I need to get earning more on Ebay to even it out a bit more.

Hopefully this year will finally get to the £50 mark on YouGov (yeah right!!) - I have been on there for about 3 years and my total so far is at 4100 points, so only 900 to go (18 surveys at 50p each), also want to get to target on Onepoll am at £19 at moment - £21 to go to payout!

Everybody else has done fab so far - well done!:T

Well just wanted to say thanks for introducing me to dooyoo. I have only been on there about a week and am trying my hardest to get to 20000 points before the end of the month. I already have my eye on something on Amazon for DD1's birthday but it won't cost the entire £20 so will then save the rest for other presents or perhaps a treat for me!

Also getting there on ebay. I was a bit late in starting this challenge so nothing has actually finished yet. I have 12 items listed on there, 3 have bids on and 4 more have watchers so I am hoping that most will sell. One of my items has 21 watchers on it! Why don't they bid!

Anyway must get back to dooyoo and try to find some more things to review. That is what I am finding hardest at the moment, is what to review next.
