    Xmas Saver!
I had a nice ebay surprise, brought 2 sets of boys bags (backpack, pencil case and pump bag), but the one only had the main bag, went through (more to cover my rear) and the seller has refunded me for both sets of bags as a goodwill gesture!

being gd, leave it in paypal for now, but when I buy something put £7 in my xmas funds.

    SPENDS -
Ordered £40 from M+S sale, hopefully thats being delievered by 30th - all presents for 2010

Got 10 reservations at Argos, ended up having to do one item at a time, otherwise when I went back to it, the item was sold out at store level, bless them ordered xmas ngt, was meant to pick up Boxing Day, rang the store, they've extended to 31st Dec.

Star for the top of tree £1.99 instead of £5.99, silver for dds tree, and gold for the main.
My mum doesn't like the phone shes got by her bed (Bratz phone), - the others are cordless, but always keep one with the keypad at the bottom, so by the time you have option, 1 then option 8 etc etc, you don't miss out, so got her a pink lips phone £7.00.

Bargain boys - set of the football luggage £6.66 instead of £19.99 - got the last 2, one for mates boy and one for cousins boy for xmas.

Have avoided the sales thou may pop for a look 2mor, got sum stuff to return to Boots, did an order when the FCUK bags were on offer, did bigish order to finish the family and boxes of chocs for friends prezzies , only 1 parcel was delievered, had a call on xmas eve (afternoon to say parcel ready), right rumous, got hold of boots.com Boxing day, "the most likely explanation, was as my parcel was delievered in 2 boxes, only one gets scanned and the records show both boxes went the same time, and it appears that when I went to collect the parcel, they had got split up in the store, getting everything ready for Christmas Eve clearance (sale stuff) they found the parcel."

Because of the error, I had to replace the items, and don't want the stuff, (too late) as a goodwill gesture - they've given me £20 back to the credit card, the items going back, as chocs were 3 4 2, I can keep the free box, (won't affect the 3 4 2 - overridden it from head office) and the Rimmel free make up sets - can keep them, just return the make up,

Works out that had £47 worth of stuff (inc the £20 refund), + get full value of the stuff returned.
    One up to the consumer!!

DD going Ice Skating tomorrow, so sitting down with mum and going through the birthday and xmas list.... xx

My budget may seem a lot, but the family arrangement I do birthdays and xmas, for all of us (mum+ dad, me, dd) so some people have to have from the 3 generations. (balances off against bills etc).

Those figs excluded mine, dds, parents, xmas + bday, and mothers + fathers day......

    NEW 2010 Budget

I have cut the budgets down for people who I'm buying for, and without sounind mean I have shaved a few names of the bday and xmas list.

I've added events in, yet have taken off £168...... wish me luck this could be a tight one!! xx

I teach primary too! I currently have a mixed Year 3/4 class, I love it. Hope you find a permanent job soon :)
Me too NickyBo! Am ok for the next couple of months but after that??? :confused:That's going to be the hardest part of being organised and getting rid of my debt- just don't know if I'll be working throughout the year. All the more reason to budget properly though!
Would just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!

Hiya jammy and M2O and everyone else!

I came in pretty money neutral due to lots of ebaying last year and will be doing the same in 2010. Also the surveys helped out a lot too however one is getting a pain now as keep getting screened out but will keep plugging away for the amazon voucher that helped half the cost of 2 items on there compared to the high street.

Here we go planning for 2010! Already written some ideas down for mum's birthday and mother's day as they come first then a wait for the next ones.

Need to plan budget wise next for these

I starting to get the hang of this I think. Any mistakes are me being a newbie. ;)

I joined dooyoo and have written two reviews. I added a few people off here hope you dont mind, i just wanted some friends for my circle. my name : susan42

I joined buzz agent just before christmas. They sent me £20 to try shell petrol. So I`ll put this in the car and put £20.00 in my saving for christmas account. I just have to write a couple of reviews and tell people what i thought of the petrol. :rotfl:

  • I know eveyone is busy doooyoooing, but if you have a few spare hours and like reviewing places and venues then join Wozzon here

    http://www.wozzon.com/promotions/reviewwinpounds

They are running a promo til the 20th of January 2010 where they will pay £1 a review subject to a minimum of 10 reviews and their terms & conditions here (Maximum payout £200)

    http://www.wozzon.com/terms_earnpounds.htm

Worth ago if you have the time, I have spent the last hour writing just short of 50 reviews (minimum word count is 30 words:D) so shouldn't take me too long to get to max payout.

Thought I would share, hope it helps someone.

I'd love to be money neutral and organised this year, can I join too?
  • Hi

Hope you don't mind if I join in too. I'm very nervous and shy but I've been reading the posts for the last year or so and finally plucked up the courage to register and post too.
I'm already planning ahead as to what hampers I am doing next year and how I can earn money to do it. Sil is getting a january sale survival kit with a shopping voucher and some energy bars and gel heel cushion things. Mum and step dad always come to us for xmas tea (as it is my DD3 birthday too) but after doing too much food again this year I have decided to only do cake and pretzel/nut nibbles next year saving me money. Mum had a bit of a moan (as she likes to take a doggy bag from my house for her and step dad's supper) so they are getting an xmas supper hamper as their gift saving me money again!!

I'm hoping that I can be super organised and money neutral next year!!
