Hi everyone - bit late but I'd like to join this please! I have been a reader of MSE for a long time but just actively got involved recently and trying to pay off the debts. Having a go at being "money neutral" for Christmas sounds great! I've got £25 in argos gift cards (free, so have to be used by mid May) and £10 amazon voucher, plus a £20 next gift voucher all sat here ready to be used...:j Currently doing the Swagbucks challenge :j0

I only use the one stitch and forward and back on mine! :rotfl:
It was just under £200 when I bought it and is supposed to do about 40 stitches which is what I wanted it for. Never managed to get the fancy stitches looking right as I couldnt find the manual for over a year as it had been "put away" by someone and it just vanished. Found it again end of last year and tried to get stitches to work but realised it wasnt me but the machine playing up. It wont even do the straight or zig zag stitch now without puckering up the fabric as the top thread tension is too tight.
When I got it back the other day I could see the man had done some of the stitches I wanted on an odd piece of fabric so I ordered a lovely set of machine embroidery threads that are all variegated (they change colour as you sew) to use but the thing has gone wrong again now and I cant use it.
I didnt really want to get another one unless it did all the nice stitches as thats what I want the machine for but I could have put the £60 I spent getting it fixed towards another one. The bloke is going to do it for free so he says as he gave me a warranty when he fixed it. Just hope he can sort it out properly this time. OH said "He will sort it or I wont be happy and will be having a word" lol.0 -

Just to say you don't have to play 2000 points every week in bingo, just during the week when you actually want to redeem. I normally play slots cos it's quicker and when I have enough for a redeem, I just play my 1000 posting points in bingo instead of slots for 2 days. Takes quite a while to get through that many points so I leave it playing on auto while I'm doing something else.
Re bingoport, if you make your ten posts a day, play 1000 points per day and no more, and cash out ALL your winnings (even if it's just 4 or 6 points - but hopefully it will be more!!!) the maths says that eventually you'll get enough to redeem. Just depends on your luck how quick it will be.
Personally I find I can redeem at least once a month, lately it's been once a fortnight.

Thanks for the Challenges Jammy, I have had to buy a new printer this morning  but at least Its done now and out of the way. I have had a mooch round the Charity Shop and bought a brand new Bon Marche Jacket for a £1 so will try my hand at selling that on Ebay, never sold anything on there before so might be mithering for tips later:D Seem to have been so busy and not getting round to things I need to lately must knuckle down and get sorted.

Ohh well done Sarah on your bargain. I was talking to my Mum this morning and she GAVE me a brand new storm bag for the challenge. (She had it for christmas and didn't like it - too trendy for her, she's used to Mary Poppins bags. LOL).
I'm going to like this challenge, it sounds fun! Thanks to Pammy for the suggestion and JamTart for the all the challenges. I didn't get around to sending the ink cartridges to Tesco so i'm just off to re-read the thread and find out how to do it.
Best of luck everyone. xxxI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
