We have my DDs dance show tonight, seems strange not having her home at the moment as we had to drop her off at the theatre at 2.30 and the show isnt until 7.30. She will be absolutely shattered later!
Just thought will also save on the theatre tickets as it cost me £15 for me and DS2 to go see it tonight!

Also I will save £23 as DD is stopping her dance club so she can do Brownies. Dance was £45, brownies is only £22 for twelve weeks :)

Must be something in the water - Elysia decided she doesn't want to do Ballet, Tap and Acrobatics anymore. £2.80 per week. She wants to do Disco instead £1.60 per week.

She can't even be bribed to stay a few more weeks so she can have a professional photograph taken in her tutu. I have one from two years ago and it is stunning - I wanted one now she's older but she says no way. :(

I know the show is probably over by now but I hope you had a great time and all went well.

Elysia is going to miss her show too - I think that put the nail in the coffin to be honest. She's quite shy and doesn't like the attention. She worries so much, she works herself into a tizz and makes herself ill.

thanks guys, it was great and she is the youngest in the group and looked so small among them all but she did so well and was in the middle front of the stage, I was so proud of her. She is so confident, I have no idea where she gets that from!!
DS2 fell asleep lol, even though the music was blaring

Well, lets see where I am. I haven't quite managed the mini challenge I set myself, but I think I did ok. I did an extra hours work on Tuesday so that's another £7 plus I'll be doing it again this Tuesday, so I think I'm going to keep going as the concert isn't until 30th March, so I still have time to make my money back. It was interesting to see how much I could make in two weeks though! And £28 is fairly good. At that rate, I should reach my target in a couple of weeks.

I've fallen behind on Dooyoo as we've had the in laws staying (soon to be-if my boyfriend ever asks ;)) This has meant the study/spare room had to be tidied quickly and this is where we'd been keeping all our Ebay things and our charity shops stuff and all of that. So everything got put into carrier bags, unfortunetly, some of my written reviews got put in too, so I'm going to go through the bags today to try and find them, as I wrote a good five or six reviews during the week. I also got a couple of product suggestions accepted, so I can post some reviews of books I got for Christmas.

My savings tin is very heavy and I will break that open and see what's in there in a moment. I made some good savings on Friday. Went to the local shopping centre to have a mooch for presents and art materials for some of my planned crafty presents and got some great bargains in The Works (Pack of four 5x7 canvases bogof and large tubes of acrylic paint on bogof too) so I saved £4.98 there. Then in a book and craft shop I got myself another set of acrylic paints which were reduced from £9.95 to £3.50.

I've been trying to figure out how I should work out the costs of some of the presents I'm making. I'm not really sure how to work out the cost of a splodge of paint for the collage canvases I'm making, but I still want to try and be as money-neutral as possible. The jewellery I make is easy to cost as I use a spreadsheet with my price per bead and per finding and then total it up. But a blob of glue isn't quite as easy to quantify. Any thoughts?

    Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160

I would split the cost between how ever many pressies you make ie

    4 pressies

Total cost of Supplies = £10

So cost per pressy would be £2.50

Then if you have supplies left over and decide to use them for another pressie I would say that would be a nuetral gift as you already had the supplies and already accounted that money in the other gifts

    HTH makes sense

  • Hope you all had a good month. I ended up with just over £40.00 on Dooyoo and £25.00 in savings. Also have nearly £45.00 in YouGov so not far to go for my first payout. :D

Can't wait for next months challenge.
