Just seen the weather and I'm afraid it says the heaviest snow ill be in the East of England (I'm in Peterborough, not sure what we'll get)
Don't know how far to the East you ar but I hope it doesn't get too bad for you

Heading out to Cambridge on Saturday via Bury and Newmarket. Travelling on the A14 too! Lets hope the tailbacks from Miss Qwertys tractor have gone by then! :D

LOL Isn't the A14 at cambridge ALWAYS backed up? Don't think I've ever driven straight through!

I'm loving Cambridge at the moment. Hadn't been for years until last October when I ms'ed there. Always use the Park and Ride as Cambridge always seems to be chock a blocked.

I've just signed up to React after seeing them on the Alerts thread. There isn't a link on the first post currently, so I googled it and signed up from here:

Please can this be added to the first post, thanks very much.

How do people get on with React in general? I've applied for a couple of jobs but wondered if they were one were you had to wait ages before being accepted for your first job. Nice to see they pay mileage and parking too.

    I'm another fan of React!
  • Hello,

A quick question for anyone with any knowledge about tax returns. I have just submitted my 1st tax return ever! Woo Hoo!!!!!

I'm a wee bit concerned though as it says I need to pay 0.00. Not that I want to complain about that but I thought I would have to pay something as I made a profit of £57.00. Is it just that its too small an amount to tax?

You pay tax on anything earn't over your personal allowance. So if you have only made £57 then there would be no tax payable.

However, if you have other earnings or income then that all goes towards your annual allowance and once the combined total reaches the threshold you start paying tax.

Having seen the weather forecast for the next 3 days I've just taken my name off 20 of the ESA jobs. If they had allocated them then I might have felt obligated to do them but they haven't and I don't fancy the distances involved.

I've still got ESA apps pending and wondering about cancelling them due to the weather. However my parents are going on holiday for three weeks on the 16th, so I'll be having three weeks of limited work as they look after my daughter for me, so I really could do with earning every penny I can before they go away!

It's been thick of snow and ice since mid-December here. Must be years since it lasted this long.
Here I go again on my own....
