Having said that, trying to put a job into the new system and am close to tears. It's a *&**(&£%ing &^%&££$^ £$%% 4$$$$ing nightmare.

gawd only knows how bad it would be on dialup.

And after about 3 years, I am apparently 'status = probation'. Nice!

logged out and will retry this evening to finish putting this job in.

I hope it works better for you later - I am in the "lucky" position of not being able to enter data as I had to cancel all my jobs due to bad weather - I am sick of bad weather as snow is finally clearing for the 2nd time here and we have lots of heavy snow on the way for tonight so starting to be a drag
  • I'm hoping the snow doesn't head over this way. Got a jam packed Saturday ms'ing and would hate to cancel the jobs.

Me too, i've got to drive over to Cambridge Friday for a hostel job. First time i've taken the tractor out of town in the snow, I hope the A14 doesn't get too clogged up with the tailbacks behind me.

Not that I can print the flipping assignment notes out of course. I'll be guessing what to do I see.

Our recent snow from New Years Day through to yesterday is just going. Had 6 days of snow before Xmas when I was stuck in (I do live in a town in Kent! but we are in a private road and maintenance company decided we don't need road maintenance or grit and my little old car is not safe enough to use in those conditions as I would have ended up driving into a neighbours house!). Now heard theres lots more heading this way so not sure how bad it will be this time, got two jobs in town on Wed so fingers crossed it will still be ok for then as partner can give me lift in if I cant get car out. I have to be extra cautious has had back surgery ages ago now so cannot possibly slip over or do something stupid to myself- saying that last Monday I was running along wet sand on a beach with a mad dog so Im fine as long as its not slippery :)

This happened to me and there were no links to open. I sent numerous emails explaining and the replies made me feel like a child! One even said "What appears to be the problem?" I had plainly told them that the links were not there!
They were de allocated and finally I got an email apologising for the error and given back one of the jobs, the furthest away!
I have to say that since then I have been allocated quite a few over the phone and all with fantastic reimbursments.....maybe they realised I am not stupid after all!

I have lost several jobs too, despite emailing them before Christmas to say I was going to be away. This is the second time this has happened and I have not had any replies to my emails. I have almost had enough of TNS at the mo, they make GAP look professional

I've just signed up to React after seeing them on the Alerts thread. There isn't a link on the first post currently, so I googled it and signed up from here:

Please can this be added to the first post, thanks very much.

How do people get on with React in general? I've applied for a couple of jobs but wondered if they were one were you had to wait ages before being accepted for your first job. Nice to see they pay mileage and parking too.

I find them pretty good generally, the fees aren't too bad and they pay decent expenses. The only issue I have is that they are one of these companies who take quite a while to allocate jobs once you have applied (the time seems to depend on the client) but other than that, no complaints.

Just seen the weather and I'm afraid it says the heaviest snow ill be in the East of England (I'm in Peterborough, not sure what we'll get)
Don't know how far to the East you ar but I hope it doesn't get too bad for you

I've done a couple of jobs for React. The people there have been lovely and they pay pretty promptly too.
