It would appear that Aba and Aba-i are different companies? One has an 0161 number, the other has an 017.. number.

The difference is that Aba-i is a mystery shopping company with clients including petrol stations and catalogue shops, whereas Aba was a Swedish band who won the Eurovision Song Contest.
    Happy New Year
  • Just read some posts on the old thread raving about Helion - just signed up, but found the sign-up info they want VERY suspicious. Why do they need to know where you buy all your stuff from? Why isn't London or Greater London listed as one of the counties/regions? Why does my SW London postcode produce a Google map of a street in Cornwall? Has anyone actually done any assignments for them? And been paid?

Yep, I fully agree, i don't mind the overt's at all.. but not sure about this covert then overt in same job.. Ooo scary, :rotfl: i'll just have to push myself to do it, its a nice local one too only 2 Min away.. don't often get them local...anyway thank you.. also just signed up to the company you mentioned earlier..all helps thanks again...

I have done many, many of the covert shop/overt audit jobs. The more you do, the more normal it seems. I find it helps if I complete the MS, nip out to the car and consolidate that, then re-enter with my clipboard in hand and ID worn. Have a look at the brief: if you can do it like that, it makes it feel like two separate jobs (which, of course, it is).

New company. No assignments as yet. Not believed to be dodgy. email them if you have concerns/issues - Max is very helpful and I'm sure he'd rather you contact him with any problems than not sign up

Sorry I'm very tired and in my state of mild hysteria I had visions of you doing a 'wonder woman-type' spin in the car and coming out with a different look armed with a clipboard :rotfl:

Don't worry, I thought the same as you. Sounded like they were being advertised!

Me too...looks like an advert and I always think if something is that good why would you want the competition of more shoppers? 9 months for a response on your application....yep thats sounds like an excellent company!!??!
  • Has anyone else found that RE never respond to emails?? Sometimes their website has a fault which means assignments cannot be accepted, I email them and never hear back. Have tried both via website and direct. Even emails about specific assignments I'm doing don't get a reply.

They've overpaid me twice in the last 18 months. Both times it was because their system froze when I was trying to submit a job, so did it again ... and for some reason they payment went through both times. I emailed them on both occasions, explaining they had overpaid me ... and I never got a reply, and they never asked for the money back!!!

I thought the same but they are two different companies. Signed up to Aba a couple of months ago but hadn't heard anything. Nice to know that this isn't unusual!

Ahhhhh you confused me for a moment there, as ABAI are also ABA Research!
