Stupid gyp..... following the saga of the burger place claiming I wasn't alone I've just had a very patronising email from gyp telling me "if you need to take your partner and drop him off elsewhere, please be sure that he doesn't get back into your car while you are on burger's grounds." Do I look like I'm stupid??? I've asked them to provide CCTV of someone else in the car with me on burgers grounds. :wall:
Last time i did one, i went in 1st and bought my meal, then a few mins later my husband and son came in bought theres and we all sat together. To be honest I didnt like doing them, I felt like a freak show and was quite un-nerved by the whole thing0 -
ok, back to the experts for help yet again.
Did a nice smelling soap shop. Everything went perfect until i got to the till. Got a lotion for £5 and soap for 2.50, then she said 'since you've spent over £15 you can get the shower gel free'
What i sputtered....... she said the lotion was 12.50, went to look at the shelf and the £5 sticker in front of it was for the product next door on the shelf.
since i wasn't prepared to spend £15 i muddled and said, oh, i didn't really wish to spend 12.50 and bought a similar product in a different varient. (bill then came to £11, but i shall only get £7.50 back, didn't think putting the soap back as well was a good idea)
so, do i report all this? i know it sounds silly but i don't want to get inot trouble for not buying the orriginal reccomendation or something. Plus, do you think they would be kind enough to raise the reinbursment or is this a simple case of live and learn???
(Shall be out for a few hours visiting at hospital so if you ask a question and i don't reply, i shall be back :j)
p.s it was my first shop for RE.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
My best gypburger ever was when the manager came over to ask me if the timings were OK (dine in). They were not: someone ahead of me in the queue was ordering 32 meals to take out! My lack of comprehension was obviously believed. The manager sat down with me and had a general chat. She then told me how I could sign up with gyp and gave me a run down of everything the MS-ers check. Most of what she said was totally wrong, but it was more entertaining than the floor show. I was not barred!
I have had all sorts of fairy tale excuses to argue against with these jobs, though. The latest one was that I changed queue three times. What???? They said once before that I went out and came back in. As if??? They have also accused me of being with a large group of people, ordering two lots of food ...... the list is endless. If I wasn't doing this professionally, the temptation would be to take the easy option and give glowing reports for every job I did.0 -
Is anybody else getting picked up by RE on every job at the moment? I did three reimbursement-only eating assignments and have been picked up at the proof-reading stage for the first two. I wouldn't mind if they weren't asking about things I know I already wrote down on the report. Truly annoying...the MS companies are definitely getting more pernickety.0

If the consultant asked you how much you wanted to spend and then directed you to the product that was overpriced/incorrectly priced then I would have thought RE would have no objection to you buying an alternative, however I would think it highly unlikely they would raise the reimbursement for you. Many of the jobs we do cost more than we receive, but then we get to keep the goods so that's the perk... I suppose if you don't ask you definately won't get...Christmas 2020 £109

I'll take RE thanks. Never get these jobs from GR because they're never offered to me.0 -
