    I completed an assignment for BARE to the shop where you get to paint the little men (hope you know where I mean). Am I right in thinking that they reimburse you for the purchase (mine was £50+)? Do you also get to keep what you purchased?

    I think you need to read the guidance notes on that one, i looked at one for the same shop and it said part of the shop was taking the product back within a certain time.

    It varied by job. For most of them you have to take it back to the store and get a refund within 3 days but not on the same day - you can't spend more than £85 for some reason.

    If it was a "trade store" or somewhere abroad you had to keep it and get a reimbursement from BARE as these stores don't do refunds.

    Wasn't it a brilliant job? I had loads of fun - trying to squeeze in as many as poss as I'm 28 pretty soon and won't be eligible!

    Just have a kid...then you can do that shop still...and you have an excuse to go in those kind of shops.

    (please dont blame me if you find having a child has a few more ramifications than just the above)
  • Or borrow one? Is there a mystery shopper's resource for these sort of assignments - you know, children, wives, husbands to hire for a reasonable proportion of the fee? I think we could set one up... sort of like a bring and buy...

  • Six telephone calls and three emails re one urgent job (which I have declined for the same valid reason each time). Is this a record?
  • Shh don't tell anyone, i've skipped gym class tonight in order to prep for a job interview 9am tomorrow morning. Well, I say prep, but I seem to be on here. Anyone want to iron my shirt for me?

    On a MS'ing note, has anyone figured out how to delete the notices from RE yet? They're getting on my wick sitting there after i've read them.

    It was great fun yeah. Although some of the people working there seemed to take it all a bit too seriously. I gave them a glowing report though!

    The guidelines state;

    If you perform a visit in France, Belgium (Only Wallonia + Brussels), Italy and the UK you must buy something even though they are Trade stores and we will reimburse up to 120 euro/85GBP for the UK of your purchase.
    o You will need to keep the product as there is no refund policy in these stores.

    I took this to mean that Bare will reimburse me? Am I right?

    Cardiffmatch - were you able to return the product or did Bare reimburse you?

  • I returned the items to the shops.

    I read it as you had to return it unless you were visiting a Trade Store. Mine weren't; there are only a couple of those in the UK. Bare are lovely on the phone and answer emails quickly - I'd get in touch with them to confirm.
