I wouldn't feel happy about having my posts and the information I've given copied to another website.

This has happened before when I posted a lengthy MS related post on here and some nasty person copied it and was selling my work on ebay

I agree with Becles, the posts that I post are exclusively for the readers on this forum and not for anyone else.

There are other specialist MS forums so there isn't really a need for any more. Also it isn't really necessary to read ALL of the past threads, I certainly haven't! Most of the useful information is in the first few posts, and if it isn't answered there then there is a simple search function to search through the past threads, if it's not answered there then feel free to ask the questions.

The idea is not to create a separate MS forum. But a reference site which compliments the forums on MSE as opposed to have XII threads each 200 or so posts long to read through.

I believe it is more efficient and will help people become better MS.
  • ... or you could just ensure that you completely read the useful info on first few pages of each new thread, and then search for anything specific using the search facility before asking the question?

I was hoping you could actually be 'head' of the website.

I'm sorry but I haven't got time to run a website for you. I already run another very busy forum and just haven't got the time to take on a new one.

Banner ad's and affiliates bring in very little revenue, especially when people are aware of Quidco etc. We've tried numerous things on our website but never really made any money from it.
Here I go again on my own....

So the idea is that everyone else on here does the leg work so you can have a website that you can get money from and also access to all of the MS experience information that you need because you don't have any of your own experience??

I think that is unfair. I don't want any income from the site. I want any money generated from it to go to those knowledgable posters that answer the questions.
  • Can anyone help me. I am doing my tax return and nearly finished all my working out apart from I work for a company who give me £4.50 in travel expenses. On a couple of jobs I have only travelled 3 miles. Thats £1.20 that the IR allow. Where do I put the £3.30 ???? Does it go with my expenses??

I have an idea which I think will benefit all.

I have been reading the first MS thread which is about 200 pages long. It has taken me a day or so to get halfway. There are alot of posts where people are either talking about new jobs being posted or people talking about their first MS etc etc.

There are alot of posts to read that are outdated. I have spent a day doing this and have learnt a couple of things but don't feel I have been effective with my time.

I think it would be more efficient to have a website that compliments MSE.

Basically someone would have to read all XII MS thread and extract all the useful posts and put on a website in a orderly manner.

This would take a solid months worth of reading IMO.

However the website can have things such as Adsense and affiliate marketing and banners to generate a small income for the owner of the website.

As new MS always tend to join the business they will continue to visit the website and generate traffic for the website.

I think this is more effective use of everyones time then reading through hundreds of posts and it will save time asking questions already asked on this thread.

I also think it would be useful to have a separate MS thread about tax related queries.

The above is just an idea, I would be interested to hear what others think?

Over my dead body will you use my posts on another site.

Just exactly how much reference information do you require to do mystery shopping? You just need to read the first few pages on this thread, do a search of the forums for any specific queries, or ask a question if your search proves fruitless.

Once you get up and running doing mystery shopping, it is actually incredibly straightfoward, as long as you read the brief for the assignment in detail so there are no surprises, and ensure you plan your time accordingly for the visit and carry it out as per the assignment instructions.

St00zer, If you need your hand held so much to get acquainted with a relatively simple way of generating extra income, then I would submit it's not the thing for you and you should find something less taxing instead (no pun intended!).
