Whats this about Bonus Shares?
Are we getting more shares, if so, when and how many.
Also, is it best to ask for a share certificate from computershare.

Yes, there are some details here
Basically though, if you received free shares or bought shares in the Preferential Offer, you will get one bonus share for every 20 you hold (i.e. 5% extra) on any shares you continue to hold until the 10 July 2007.Also, is it best to ask for a share certificate from computershare.
That really depends on how many shares you own.
This can be a good idea as if you ever want to sell your shares as Computershare charge quite a bit in commission - 0.5% or 1% of the value of the shares with a £15 minimum.
Other brokers charge a lot less - for instance Selftrade (who I mention in post #589) charge a flat fee of £12.50 to sell shares.
Therefore you need to work out if the amount of money you would save, is worth moving your shares to a different broker.
One point to note, Computershare do charge £15 for a share certificate or for you to move the shares to another broker.. - so you will have to take that into account. However, along with their referral offer, Selftrade will also reimburse this charge, if you move your shares to them.

Standard Life is to provide the Self invested personal pension (Sipp) package for HSBC Bank.
The pension will be distributed via HSBC’s commercial financial planning managers.
Standard Life's Sipp was launched in December 2004 and has attracted assets of more than £3.4 billion from its 20,000 policyholders
Standard Life Assurance chief executive Trevor Matthews said: 'This is another significant step in diversifying our distribution strategy and builds on many important and thriving alliances already in place with other leading companies in the financial sector.'
Mark Hussein, head of commercial investments and insurance at HSBC Bank, said: 'Our commercial customers can now benefit from a SIPP with a minimum contribution of £10k together with Standard Life’s first class service, helping to ensure our customers are financially prepared for their retirement.”
Not done much for the share price today though!

Is everybody happier with their with-profits policies now?
Mine seems to be doing well at the moment (0.95% increase in surrender value this month).
EDIT: £3.28 would be a significant milestone, representing a 50% increase on the discounted share price.
However, we should remember that initially the share price at flotation was expected to be between £2.40 and £2.90 making £3.28 just a 13% premium on the higher end of the range. Today's closing high would be only an 8% premium on the £2.90 end of the initial range.

Quite so GG.
This is round about where we really out to have been around 6 months ago.
Still, patience does pay off.Trying to keep it simple...0
