    Hi Stephen

I am pretty much with Rach & Fi on this one.

She might have paid earlier, but was right to say she had a bad day. To me it is always pay your money, take your chance and a lot of craft fairs are run as charity fundraisers, where at least your money is going to a good cause, but if you have had a very bad day, it does no harm to say to the organizer who might look kindly on you and even offer something off the next time.

I would definitely say never drive off without paying or talking to to organizer, it ruins your reputation!

Don't forget that someday it may be you who has the bad show (we have all had bad days) so it might be you lucky enough to get a freebie!
DJWW - cos we won't let it!
  • I'll be at Garron Tower on Thurs too - it's only my 3rd fair so pretty excited, hope it'll be a good night!!
  • Hi there

If you are taking a shop unit, be aware of rates - we took a kiosk in the Flagship centre last Christmas and 3 months later got a rates bill for £400!!!!! We argued that we had done lots of mall promotions before and had not been charged rates, but apparently if you take any fixed structure for any period of time (no matter how short) you are liable for the rates for that period. Check this out with the centre management and rates office before you sign anything!

We are booked in for a mall promotion in Connswater this year, so fingers crossed it will be good.

Thanks for your advise - much appreciated. good luck with your promotion in connswater:j
