Oh I have to respond - Celtoi, to say your work is not a true craft, is simply a joke - I too have been accused of selling out to food and not being a true craftsperson because I slip cast!!!!!!
These girls will never look down on anyone's work, will always offer support, and are possibly the nicest bunch of people I have ever met in this industry! Again I stress the Celtoi guys are two genuine gentlemen and I would be so happy if they were to join in on this post.
I mentioned the lamp they gave me, that mum's friend now has. To demonstrate just how coveted their work is, when I said I had put it in a cupboard, a near scrum ensued - grown women who should have more sense fighting over who should have it - mums friend knowing where I lived, drove round and claimed it, loves it, treasures it and uses it daily, it is about 10 years old now and still a work of art. These guys took their business to an international level that I can only dream of and aspire to, and the benefit of their experience would enhance our little forum!
It makes my blood boil when I hear people putting down the work of others - this guy is a true and talented craftsperson, have a look at his website and judge for yourself!DJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
