Why oh why oh why do tghey keep asking the same questions and asking for the same evidence?
And they expect me to have receipts for every single bit of home improvements I have done!
Rats to them. I don't have them and I don't care if they don't give me the wretched money.
And I am not going to fill in another form until next year at the earliest!

    Breathe ....

Because they're idiots bookie and they invent these forms specifically to make it as difficult as possible for everybody.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • DH just called..they landed at 1156 ish,he's just got off the aeroplane now....no steps/buses/drivers..I think he "may" have threatened management with calling the police to say he and his crew were being held against their will......

Sammy, try not to panic, you are a much better runner than I am, and I ran 4k off the back of absolutely no training in the last 3 months on Wednesday, and it was okay. Couldn't have gone a whole lot further, but I had retained a surprising amount of fitness, especially taking into account the fact that I've been ill or injured in one way or another for the majority of those 3 months.

Start slowly! :) And don't stop, cos it bloody hurts to start again. :rotfl:

Bookie, I disagree with Linda (sorry), they're not idiots they know exactly what they're doing. The harder the process to claim is, the more people will be put off by it, which saves them money. It's the same with disability benefits, so many people look at a 30 page form asking intimate details that they decide to struggle on instead of applying. It's party why there was a 5bn underpayment in benefits last year.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Pepe, there's a thread on DT about whether people should be paid for having days off when they can't get to work because of snow.

    *stirs big wooden spoon*.

When I went into Leeds earlier it was dead, so if you want to do some xmas shopping without crowds I'd say go for it!
