Bookie, repeat after me:
'No, sorry, I can't today, I'm too busy'
'No, I've made other plans, sorry'
'Unfortunately I'm not available on that date'
'I have a lot on at the moment so perhaps someone else could volunteer for that'
'Please could someone help me with xxx'
'NO'"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well, perhaps you could agree with DH that you all go, but on one of the nights, he agrees to take charge of the kids completely so you can really relax and enjoy a drink with friends, and on the other night, it's more of a family-orientated thing?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Sorry - my Dad and you lot just bore the brunt of my temper. I shouldn't have been cross as i had already agreed to be there today anyway. I was just looking at not going as a bit of a bonus which is horrible as it involved the little man.
Change of plans again. The rest of her friends have decided to go to London but Jenny has refused. Therefore her lunch is cancelled too. I feel upset cos she is disappointed too.0 -
Ahh Bookie, it's hard seeing your kids upset, but it's just a lunch. She will get over it.

And 'not relishing the idea of traipsing out in the snow' is in no way the same as 'not wanting to see the little man'.
I don't want to do the school run, but it doesn't mean I don't want Ryan home. :rotfl:
Stop feeling guilty!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
